I feel the same way - I’m a white man who was assaulted, name-called, and robbed for being white (raised in a black neighborhood, went to city schools - i don’t have regrets). I only mention this because I share his opinion, AND know that pain

It doesn’t strain credulity that a white Texan HS football referee might be racist. It is unlikely that a white texan HS football referee would audibly say the n-word while on the job as a referee during a football game. Not impossible, just seems more like a fabrication to weakly justify a pretty heinous assault.

I read the same thing, and my bullshit-o-meter started beeping like crazy.
