Wow, not to be all “I know her,” but I know Sunny and she’s still a badass.

Yes! There are almost no educational/instructive baking shows.

I think avoiding factory farmed meat is the most important, you’re probably already doing that by getting it at the farmer’s market.

This is great news, but I wish it wasn’t Johnny Depp.

I ship them so hard, no shame in this game.

Well, the vacuum cleaner reference was the joke.  Hopefully it ended there, though! :-O

In college, my friends nicknamed my then-boyfriend “Dyson” because he left such insane hickeys all over my neck. >_<

Not gonna lie, that outfit sounds perfect for a young gothling.  My friends and I wore the same shit.  More is more!

lol I see what you did there

I went to metal yoga classes regularly for about 2 years. The teacher moved away and I miss it so much.  Yoga is way less fun without black metal and throwing up the horns every time you raise your hands in the air.

This. When I used to teach elementary school, children would tell me they wanted to be a “YouTuber” when they grew up. 7 and 8 year olds. I guess it’s like the new version of wanting to be a rock star, in that it sure looks fun but is incredibly unlikely.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Also, we have some sunflowers growing in small pots, and we had to take them inside due to a thunderstorm. My partner took this cool picture of one of them in front of a wall hanging in our apartment:

Our garden is doing great. I just planted spinach and snap peas, it might be too late in the season for planting but supposedly they prefer cooler weather and NYC has been a hellish swamp for the entire summer. Meanwhile we grew a lot of cherry tomatoes and made a great caprese salad.

Holy crap, that’s amazing!

We live in NYC and my partner is from upstate New York... he pointed out that people outside of the city would resent the way much of the debate focused on things like the MTA and the Tappan Zee. Personally I don’t care about the bridge name, no one is going to call it the Mario Cuomo Bridge for probably a generation

Today I had a barbecue with some of my former coworkers. I’m trying to turn “work friends” into actual friends since most of us don’t work together anymore. It was really lovely and everyone had a good time. I love having friends over and entertaining, so I’m so happy to be in a position to do that.

Big Dreams, Small Spaces is on Netflix and it’s really lovely.

I love the people screaming and absolutely losing their shit.  Go Simone!

Ugh. Could men maybe just not treat the world as their toilet?
