Yes, she definitely put in the work, as per her “respect the hustle” post.  I actually had seen her speak at a BLM event a few months prior but didn’t put two and two together until after the fact.

I’m glad Ocasio-Cortez won, though Crowley would have been a fine candidate. While he’s “establishment Democrat” which is a bad thing to some, he definitely is not a centrist. He was feeling the pressure in the primary, though. I recently moved out of his district and was getting a lot of his literature forwarded to

A fancy gym.

Yup, another natural blonde here.  All the blonde in that picture came from a bottle.

Hugh Jackman is a great singer (had the fortune of seeing him live in The Boy From Oz) and in my opinion any vocal shortcomings are usually covered by his charisma. That said, “Bring Him Home” was out of his range, or perhaps not the right style of song for his voice.

I think plants can definitely get sunburned! We had a suddenly hot day back in June and it fried some of our plants to a crisp. They have actually been doing fine through this current heat wave, maybe because they are bigger and stronger now.

I have the same problem and weirdly the Jennifer Lopez brand at Kohl’s works for me! They’re made specifically for thick thighs and narrower waists.

I have been stanning for Jonathan so hard for so long I’m glad more people are getting on the “Oh it’s not an act he 100% is just...that...exuberant”

A lot of Long Islanders are Mets fans and a lot of Long Islanders are pro-Trump. So it’s reasonable to assume there is some intersection there. :-/

omg, literally thought the same thing! Took me a minute.

I agree. I grew up in the district she’s running in, and have been following her since shortly after the 2016 election. This is a great step and I’m proud of her even though I’ve never met her!

The only issue with the dog is that we don’t want her going on the neighbor’s roof, not that she is getting into the plants or anything. So we need to construct or place some sort of barrier between the two spaces. But I am not averse to going vertical, I’ve seen some really cool projects in my online research.

It’s basically a telenovela/soap with self-awareness of what it is. So it’s full of drama and scandal and unlikely scenarios, but it’s lighthearted and fun about it. It also reminds me of Pushing Daisies because there’s a funny narrator.

This comment in combination with your username made me laugh! I don’t want my containers to be in a failure pile! XD This is very good advice, but I don’t know how to determine that before the fact except like... bring all my friends over and make them jump up and down or something.

Sounds interesting! But I live in NYC, where there is not an abundance of straw bales. ;)

Everyone is capable of growth, especially kids/teens. You should be proud of how far she’s come!

Ahhhhh, walking in Manhattan is the best, especially in good weather. There’s so much to see and it never gets old.

This week I made pasta with ground lamb, spinach, and mushrooms. We also grilled skewers with beef, peppers, onions, and zucchini.

I’ve never heard of those, but they look cool! Fortunately the materials for the planters will be free, and recycled — wood from the deck we dismantled at my parents’ house.

I’m only on season 1!
