I fully confess to borrowing my guy’s deodorant when I run out. Then again, he also lets me pick his deodorant half the time, as in “Oh, you’re at the store? Just get whichever one you think smells good.” We’re pretty chill. :-P

Yup! This is obviously very bad. But so fucking funny to imagine.

I care, come at me! ;) I feel you on the trash-lot-facing windows, though. There are several nice big windows in my apartment, but they all overlook the trash alley.

I agree that his comments are ignorant. I have been wondering, though, about the place of some other hairpieces in the larger conversation about the appropriation of dreadlocks. Specifically, because it’s something I used to be interested in, cybergoths have worn dreadfalls for a long time (examples). The pieces in

Not gonna lie, I would do the hell out of DS9 Worf (as long as I had access to sickbay afterward). XD

A+ user name!

Great, once my middle school band students catch on to this one, I’ll have to deal with constant snickers from the percussion section.

omg “vagenda”

I made some foam armor to wear to the Renaissance Faire. I wore it today and it held up relatively well, although the Velcro holding the pieces together came off a couple of times. The costume was a great success overall!

Did anyone else LOVE school supply shopping? I would pick out folders for every class so carefully... I especially remember lots of Lisa Frank and whales in space, including this one:

On Saturday and Sunday I went to the Star Trek convention in NYC and had the best time! I did two different cosplays and got a photo with the cast of Voyager. Got to see a lot of friends, too. Was anyone else there?

We call it “pretending to go to bed” because we need to trick the dog into thinking we’re going to sleep, otherwise she will bark for attention when he we go into the bedroom. (The dog sleeps in the living room.)

Yupppp. A not-sober male coworker asked me for a hug after I gave him a drink ticket at a work event (I don’t drink, no skin off my back). He was denied.

I have no problem with them. But I did get my partner to buy some non-cargo-shorts for nicer summer occasions.

I’m pro sex in all its legal variants, but a personal prude. Anyone else in this boat?

I liked Sucker Punch a lot when I saw it, and still do like it, though I don’t buy into some of the “deep” interpretations that people put out there. I’ve just lost too much faith in Snyder to think that he can pull that off. But I can still enjoy the fight scenes and the music.

So ready for this.

Yes! Thank you for reminding me of his name.

I named my first car Sulu! *high fives*

I enjoyed it! Into Darkness was a total trainwreck, so I’m glad they got their shit together for this one. I prefer fewer explosions and more diplomacy in my Trek, so I really loved the opening scene and rolled my eyes at Sabotage. The writing was much better, you could tell Simon Pegg (and the co-writer, whose name
