Hahahahaha, literally came here to comment, “Saavik, noooooo!”

No. Any time I see an adult wearing overalls they look like overgrown children to me. This is one trend from my childhood that I am happy to leave behind. Now, time to go catch some Pokemon.

If someone comes back from New York and says people were rude there I ask them what they did wrong.

Honestly, I would probably go too, even though I’m not a huge fan, because a) she deserves support, and b) it sounds hella fun.

Yes work those overalls! I did a Jet Girl cosplay once where I wore a flight suit/coverall, huge stompy boots, an aviator hat, and a tool belt and I felt so comfy and badass.

Oh do tell

I had a truly disturbing dream a week or two ago, in which I slit two people’s throats, and inside their bodies they were filled with meat sauce, which they then (somehow still alive) helped empty into a giant trough. Have fun with that one... :-/

I like real books better... I like the act of turning the pages, I like the smell of the paper, and I like that I have something tangible to put away on the shelf when I’m done with it. I also like the conversations that a bookshelf can spark.

I teach elementary-age children, many of whom are either the American-born children of African immigrants, or are immigrants themselves. They frequently say they are going on vacation or have family “in Africa,” and only about 50% of the time can they actually say which country. It drives a lot of us nuts, especially

4, 1, 2, 3. Chris Hemsworth is one of the few celebrities that I am genuinely attracted to. But mostly just as Thor, because Viking god. He also seems like a nice person and good dad, too.

Thank you!!!

Thank you!!

What did they say? I don’t see a donate link on their contact page, but I’d be happy to send a check or something if they don’t do online donations.

I agree with you with not wanting to listen to the cast recording before seeing the show. Obviously YMMV, as tons of people have done just that. For me, I love experiencing live musicals, but rarely listen to show tunes on their own. But then, I am lucky to be local to NYC and will probably see the show eventually

I organize my books by size, because it makes me twitchy if they don’t go from large to small. Though right now my bookshelf is incredibly cluttered.

Yes, yes, yes, regarding picking up the slack. One of my coworkers had a baby last year and it made me feel like a bad feminist because I resented having to do extra work during her absence (and frankly, still to this day, because she only came back to work part time). Of course, that’s the workplace’s fault for not

I love the idea of the implant and I just asked my gyno about it, but she said that a lot of people have frequent bleeding/spotting outside of their normal period, and I’m not playing around with that. Too bad. :(

Yeah, a lot of my upstate friends are griping that such a small geographic area essentially won the NY primary for Clinton, without also acknowledging that over half of NY’s population lives in NYC and Long Island. One friend of mine posted the primary results map and said “this is why we wish that NYC and LI were a

Those patches are ridiculously awesome.

Wow. Way to shoot yourself in the foot, dude.
