Honestly I think a lot of the frustration that progressives feel with the democratic party is that they aren’t angry enough. The past couple of years have been frustrating beyond belief. We’re all watching everything we ever gave a damn about be destroyed, but our politicians are for the most part completely insulated…
The annoying part about this victory is that every side has to point to larger things other than “Democrats are doing well.”
i want the same to happen to wisconsin’s 1st. trump won that by 11. this district took down a 20 point lead..it could happen?
All this talk of a “Blue Wave” sure sounds a lot like 2016, when everyone knew that Hillary Clinton was going to thump Donald Trump. I will not be at all surprised to see Democrats to fuck this one up, too. If only there were a party that actually ran on liberal principles instead of “we’re not as bad as the red guys.”
And he went right back to the high schools with his peter out.
Yeah, I noticed, and holy Christ are they phenomenally stupid.
He really just CRUSHED that non-existent hard-leftist! That’ll show them so hard! That’ll teach you next time when you lose when no one was actually running, HA!
There’s at least two of these centrist fools in the comments shitting on the left. It’s extremely suspicious.
Furthermore, what’s so bad about hating those things? Is it not my right as a supposedly free american?
Oh yes, the fact a centrist won is SO DEVASTATING in a race that had how many hard-left candidates?
“... was bolstered by union support in the race and ran on protecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. His opponent, Saccone, ended his campaign saying liberals hate America, Donald Trump, and God.”
The centrists sure are getting pissy, lately.
NOW there will be complaints of election fraud, Russian interference and liberal media bashing.
How would you know that based on this, given that nobody in the race was one of those and the milquetoast centrist troop barely beat his opponent?
Winning by a slim margin against someone vocally backed by a historically unpopular president in a race that cost millions of dollars and will be erased in a matter of months is pretty useless, yes.
The 2016 DNC was covered in more flags and celebrated more veterans than the 2016 RNC.
“His opponent, Saccone, ended his campaign saying liberals hate America, Donald Trump, and God.”
Despite this, the prospect of a Democrat winning in such a deep-red district was framed as a national bellwether ahead of the November midterms.
