You’ll get into it if you give it time, I definitely had the same reservations. And the oil thing bothered me to no end throughout the game, but you’ll eventually learn them by color and be able to expedite the process as you become proficient.

Ugh, I don’t know... I just finished my first playthrough of Dark Souls III and am faltering at starting a NG+ immediately. I tried to pick up Witcher 3 again after like 6 months and finally start the Blood and Wine DLC, but the controls felt so foreign to me after so much time away that I couldn’t sink back into it…

My only problem with it was that Discs 3 and 4 got ridiculously easy... like not even close to a challenge. The last boss fight is laughably simple, even without any grinding.
