In ‘97 the Grand Prix looked spectacular. Since they didn’t change the design for over a decade it’s hard to see it, now, as anything but a meh fleet car.

I had a ‘97 Maxima for 20 years and sent it to the junkyard in 2018 due to catastrophic structural rust and many other problems. It was a backup car for most of it’s life but still had nearly 400k miles on it. It had a manual, too, which is probably the biggest reason I kept it for so long.

Pickup trucks will be the top selling vehicles for the foreseeable future and pickup sales aren’t grouped by powertrain. So I guess the question should be, “when will pickup trucks become exclusively electric?”.

Now that real car manufacturers are making decent electric cars, there really aren’t any good reasons to consider a Tesla.

I was half expecting the alarming behavior to come from human drivers road raging, running stop signs or lights, or otherwise endangering people on the streets.

I think that when that’s sitting in a turn lane going the opposite direction, I won’t be able to see oncoming traffic past it’s bulk to make a turn at a yellow arrow. Aside from that, complete disinterest.

Usable beds were sacrificed long ago for bigger back seats and higher belt lines. The modern truck bed is a short box that only exists to provide bulk and can’t be reached without deploying a hidden staircase.
