Yeah I *do* hope they improved the matchmaking. I’m not that good of a player but I had an absurd winrate on Splatoon (maybe like 70% of games my team won comfortably?)

I totally get not being into PvP. Splatoon was a lot more accessible for me than other games (no chat with raging randos, ability to focus on inking instead of kills and still contribute) but it can still not really be everyone’s cup of tea, it took getting used to for me.

Yeah, it’s a good principle to never throw someone under the bus when taking over their work. You don’t know what constraints and terrible external problems they had to deal with while creating.

It’s fine as an *option*, but I’d like other options. My phone is kind of overloaded with apps anyways. And a little slow. I’ll probably end up grabbing another phone just to use for this; but most of all I wish I didn’t have to hook up another device when playing not at my house

I’m kind of glad. I find them a distraction, they kind of feel somewhere between a pop-up ad and a “collect the items” side quest in a game where it doesn’t belong (and I’m kind of tired of those anyways).

If it’s appropriate for a given game I don’t mind too much, but I don’t like generalized systems that make games…

well that’s not really his fault, he’s part of a group that decided they were only going to say this much and that was it. If he says more, then they decided (for some weird reason) they were going to announce that much but gave a piece to him for only him to announce in a later interview.

It’s good advice depending on the context. If you’re hanging out with young, not very outdoorsy people, it’s good advice. If you’re at E3, it’s good advice (should be obvious, but....) If you’re hanging out at a rock climbing convention, maybe start with “do you play games?”

I do find it odd she’s still participating in other roles. I’m not going to be buying the game because I don’t want to support companies that go non-union during a strike. But this is a weird situation.

You could say that about every strike in existence. Companies almost always attempt to continue on without the workers. It’s still important to negotiate for what you’re worth.

Encourage them to support unionized labor with taxis, or if they can’t bring themselves to do that, for god’s sake at least use Lyft.

Legally there’s a difference between speech and harassment. What you’re dealing with is harassment, or unprotected speech. Trump blocks people just for criticizing him at all.

But allowing people who praise Trump to have a direct line to him while blocking people who criticize him from it... that seems to have a case that it might be government restriction of speech.

The problem is there’s no way to make a difference here between “speech” and “harassment” — a block’s a block, and Trump can block you for whatever he wants.
