No. The constitutional right to free speech specifically refers to the government. This would not affect anyone who isn’t in an elected position.

The right to free speech isn’t something that’s bestowed upon us by a benevolent government; it’s a natural right we’re all born with.

A private company’s terms don’t beat the constitution. If the court determines this is related to constitutional rights, that won’t matter.

The right to free speech as it relates to government is a little more complex than that comic spells it out. It normally doesn’t matter much, because that comic is trying to tell you that “I have a right to free speech!” doesn’t apply when you’re not dealing with the government. But yes, everything Trump is involved

They’re not literally invisible, just very very small. Some people can probably see them if they go looking. And imaging tech definitely can capture it, and will save it if it’s set to a high enough resolution.

But similarly, you could use an image manipulation program to hide the watermark, but then there might be

Oh geez I never thought about that! Good tip.

Just use a black and white printer :)

Apparently not a huge capacity for demonstrating all of that crankiness, or in priority order.

But their shitheadedness gets more power to harm people when they’re backed by the *president*.

It’s more about rhetoric. The kinds of bigoted horrors we’ve seen historically didn’t just start all of a sudden with “welp, time to put Jews in concentration camps.” It’s about seeing more people in power: demonizing people who aren’t white/male, saying that white people are the only people to have invented

Oh geez if that’s what happened I doubt many of the problems are really the dev team’s fault. If there’s high attrition, there’s a management problem.

I find it likely it’s much, much less about a bonus and more about pressure in general to regularly release products within fiscal year boundaries. Gotta make those stockholders happy (which will lead to bonuses for execs, yeah)

Is that actually typical? I thought defense lawyers often used “you didn’t go to the police right away” as evidence it didn’t really happen

It wasn’t a reference to Cosby’s other victims though, just rape victims in general

Uh, no they do not. Especially not if they’re black.

Now playing

Ah, and as a youtube commenter pointed out, some of the melodic phrases from the map’s music are very similar to the Squid Sister’s Calamari Inkantation:

Wow, that stage looks more than a little like Splatoon. In fact if you’d shown me just that logo in the center of the map I would’ve assumed it was from Splatoon 2.

There’s a little satisfaction to be had from clearing the map that way, but for me it did not do nearly enough to cancel out the sense that this was a massive, boring waste of time.

yeah the ambiguity there doesn’t make any of this better

also

extrajudicial killing of people who haven’t harmed anyone or made concrete plans to harm anyone and must be stopped immediately is something to be avoided whenever possible. thought we generally agreed on that.

Sure but you have to *know* about it to fix it. Not everybody spends their time reading about video games; some just have enough time to play them a little bit.

And if there’s one option that’s objectively better, the game should ship with that turned on by default.
