Because the family in the movie is mixed-race and also black kids don’t get to often see other black kids as a super-smart hero in a fantasy/action movie? It’d be neat.

Wait what happened to Drake and RiRi? Did that end? Why am I so out of touch?
That’s not unusual in a rape case, where retaliation is feared. Even less unusual when a famous person is involved.
If you’re trying to make a fraudulent claim to get settlement money, accusing Trump would be an odd choice. He’s extremely litigious and claims he never settles (although that’s not exactly true). It’s probably better for his reputation as he’s created it to fight instead of settling, not to mention I bet his ego…
read it now go go go
I would LOVE THAT
Calvin in the books is 14. Are you thinking of Charles Wallace?
Because I think there’s equal chances that someone’s simply running a con versus that this really did happen to a woman, who now has little proof besides her memory and possibly “Tiffany Doe”’s, and she felt she had to do something but didn’t know how, and some con artists took advantage, but also legitimate lawyers…
Cost vs. benefit is a factor though. Trolls can do the vile shit they do and get a laugh out of it... and not face any consequences. They generally won’t be identified and harassed vehemently. Same with crop circles and bigfoot pictures, except since those are less harmful basically nobody cares.
And what do the people involved gain from attention? Lisa Bloom is doing just fine in her career, and it’s not like having the client not show does any good; Al Taylor/Norm Lubow may get something out of the controversy but it’s not clear he’s involved anymore. Jane Doe would get much more attention if she showed up —…
What was gained from holding this press conference and having this accuser not show up?
I have the same thoughts :/
This is the thing: if it is the case of a woman with a legit story picked up by slimier people, and the woman is trying to maintain privacy, all you have to go on to evaluate legitimacy is the slimy people (Al Taylor/Norm Lubow for one). If the woman is afraid (the current story from her camp) and unexperienced…
The backstory on all of this is so bizarre I have a hard time believing it could be the Trump campaign (a “Never Trump” conservative was behind promoting the story to media, for one).
According to the suit, she wanted to be a model, and a woman working for Jeffery Epstein (the alleged identity of the other witness in this case) said she could help her meet people who could hire her if she came to these parties. Numerous outlets have reported on this.
I think that there’s about equal chances it’s bullshit versus a vulnerable woman with a legit story got taken advantage of and now the situation feels like it’s spun out of control.
Wow.
But like, not thinking about the consequences of your actions is a crucial part of this kind of behavior though. If they had the self-awareness to stop themselves from doing this in certain contexts, I doubt they’d do it much at all anymore.
It definitely depends on light sensitivity. Since this fades on, I do not wake up to the light, even on the brightest possible setting on the brightest model.
