While I'm still pissed as hell at Rolling Stone for screwing this up, perhaps something good will come of it after all. They get no credit if it does, though.

The alternates are usually let go when deliberations start. If deliberations were that far along, I don't think they could even discuss asking one to come back (if that's even possible - I've never heard of it being done).
That is idiotic. The judge could have called a recess for a day or two until the juror could return. What a waste of taxpayer resources and an unfair burden on the victim.
As far as we know. Aside from his money, why would anyone shtup him sober?
Or in his mouth. Either way, I would buy the hell out of that shirt. I would get one for each of my friends and relatives as a holiday gift.
Certainly not the daughter of a candidate for vice-president.
It's a shame his mother didn't abort him, or at least make his father pull out.
Oh, I know. He doesn't want to risk having a trial on these issues, so this way he can still claim to be the injured party and yet not actually respond.
Where's Bill Cosby saying "I did not do these things?" Just sayin'. Everyone else is supposed to speak up for him but he won't speak up directly for himself - just bullshit like "be neutral" and other vague shit.
"To clarify, I utterly respect and appreciate every police officer that protects and serves all of us with honesty, integrity and the right way. And I don't think those kind of officers should be offended by what I did."
He had a chance at a trial when there was a civil case pending about a decade ago, but he chose to settle instead. He could have confronted and cross examined a number of the women accusing him now, who were willing to testify in support of the woman suing him. Guess he didn't want to take that risk, eh?
Well, he really couldn't complain if he took it from a place he wasn't invited. Or that's what I'd tell him.
I'm very moved to hear this. My dad was deeply involved with UUP from its very founding, and while he passed away a few years ago, I'm sure he would be proud of this. I know I am. Thank you for sharing your story.
And I say, good for her. That's what all of us should do!
The gun nuts want 12 year olds to have real guns!
I think you are probably right. I mean, he did "Everybody Hates Chris," and it had a broad appeal (at least I thought it did, and I'm a white female lawyer). But I think he's at his best when he has all the brakes off.
Did they offer the spot to him? I thought he only got the bonus if they didn't.
Oh, that must have been something to see!
I think Colbert will do pretty well. When I've seen him do stuff not in his "character," like appearances on Letterman, he's both personable and funny. He was also pretty sharp when he did the White House Correspondents Dinner. He just will have to come up with some gimmicks of his own, like the "top ten," etc. We…
