Once again, it’s not free if you have to pay for access. You can’t access these games without an active Netflix subscription and that costs money.

I love Hades, but you couldn’t pay me enough (well, you could, theoretically) to play it on a phone. Way too busy. I didn’t even really like playing it undocked on Switch very often.  Would be interested to see what they mean by ‘custom touch controls’, but since my tablet is Android, that’s out.

Aside from the reasons given to you already as to why game prices didn’t match inflation, it doesn’t actually…

It has nothing to do with inflation. Not all game are selling skins at that price, not all games have realised there fanbase has whales that are willing to buy them for that price. Also they still sell cheaper skins, it’s greed simple as, greed knowing that people will buy them that’s why they aim for nostalgia or big…

And ultimately this goes back to personal responsibility, which is at the heart of any addiction.

at least three of the games mentioned are meant for an age group above that of the child. So you can cross those off the list of “marketed to children”.

Do you use the new wavefront guided sclerals? My father has the same condition, and it was absolutely life changing vs the regular sclerals. Like seeing for the first time.

I was thinking the other day how lots of games these days stop you even getting to start menu with a white on black text screen warning about flashing light effects (and similarly warned when watching Games Done Quick events on YouTube or even broadcast news.. but not movies?!) and while that must be a small portion…

So management thought dumping crazy amounts of money into free game giveaways and exclusives, cancelling every in development game besides Fortnite, and starting a legal war with Apple would pay off, and it hasn’t.
