Right now using natural gas heating is still cleaner than electric. The vast majority of electric power in the company comes from fossil fuel burning. Having another step in between the generation of energy from the fossil fuel and the heating of homes would result in increased use of the fossil fuels. Until we have

Just was pointing out that it was hypocritical to say that Putin will run wild under Trump when he already is running wild under the current Democrat president. The initial post just said Europe, not EU.

Yea, because Obama did such a great job preventing Putin from taking over part of Ukraine, which is part of Europe...

I think you answered your own question. Trying to do CPR on an live person would really fuck things up. I don’t think many people realize how traumatic CPR is, it breaks half your ribs and potentially punctures lungs. It’s definitely not something that you should do unless the person actually needs it.

You realize Obama will be out of office long before the Brits leave the EU right? His statement on the matter doesn't really hold any water, it'll be up to the next president to decide where the UK stands in the queue

Fair point, however why has every other automaker who has a similar system made a point to include a failsafe? Maybe because in their testing they found that their own people weren’t getting it into park every time?

Last year Lexus introduced a new crossover in the size you’re talking about, the NX. Lexus has some of the most reliable vehicles on the road, my parents have daily driven an ES for the last 10 years and besides changing oil and tires the only other maintenance has been changing headlights.

Honestly this car isn't for the US. Yes, it will be sold here but this is Lincolns attempt at winning in China. (That's my take at least)

In my experience it’s a lot of the “old rich" with the e-class wagons. The types of people who have these are the same as who drive land cruisers.

That's mad creepy

It’s the escalade for people who don’t want to come across as escalade people. A lot of people associate escalades with Tony Soprano and rappers, but want a way to show their wealth with a big ass luxury American SUV, this is what they choose.

Sad but true

This is flawed logic, car guy comes out looking like the victim here so more people are going to see motorcyclists as asshats. Now every time car guy sees a motorcycle he’s going to drive more aggressively, which in the end will more likely result in motorcyclists getting hurt than “saving their lives”

I would argue that most people who buy what we consider an ‘enthusiast’ car aren’t enthusiasts. How many rappers bought Veryons just to own? They’re not working on their own cars or anything else you would consider an enthusiast to do. Same thing with Porshe etc.

January of 2015 had SafeLight replace my windshield after it cracked in cold weather. Few weeks later has the inside of the windshield fog up, but thought it was just due to it being cold and not knocking snow off my shoes before getting into the car. Also noticed the carpets were wet but thought it was the same deal

Arguably the discounts on VWs was the bouy for sales as opposed to total apathy of what they’ve done. The issue with this is it’s going to cut into the companies profits significantly, and if a company can’t make money they won’t stick around very long especially when facing billion dollar fines. I think if VW tried

My problem with this show of greenness, is that the Fiat he's driving had to be made, whereas if he used the old pope mobile it was already there, and it's inherently less green to make something new than to use an old version, I feel like his use of a fiat is simply a show.

I once read an article where they said they never got rid of it because if they tried users got pissy. I guess it's a really popular feature. It's on my Fusion, and while I initially thought it was the dumbest thing now I can't imagine not having it.

I think it's one of those things once you have it, you find ways to use it all the time. As I said in my first reply moving from an utilitarian SUV to a sedan I find I miss the SUV constantly just because I'm used to being able to haul whatever I want whenever I want, I imagine it's the same, if not more so, true with

I think once you have a truck you'd realize there were more opportunities to use it than you'd expect. I switched from a Nissan X-terra to a Ford Fusion, and I miss the capacity of the SUV all the time. I dare say I could use a cheap truck every month, which would be cheaper than renting one.
