Fussing about this is exactly why I won’t buy a phone with a non-user-replaceable battery. Call me Lud. Still using a Note4, a good many years after I bought it (running Android 7.1, going to move to 8.0 soon). I think I’m on my third or fourth battery. 

The ones I’ve used have a magnet up in the nose. you just touch the magnet to the fallen-in lid and lift. Pretty easy, but it’s still easier to catch the lid at that last 1/16th turn

Guy here. I might be atypical, but I’ve been aware of this for years. Filed away with other uncomfortable/impractical things women do to be stylish or look sexy (at least to some men). (e.g. high heels, short skirts).

There are openers that have a magnet up towards the front. Handy if I go past the point where there’s a bit of hinge - and the lid drops in.

To be fair, there are can openers that are supposed to open from the side. They’re called “side opening” or “smooth edge”. They make the lid safer to handle. They take a bit to learn how to use, and IMO aren’t worth the bother.

We lost our Corgi to stomach cancer. He couldn’t eat. He did manage some strained chicken (jarred baby food). He’d been big on chicken before he got sick, so that’s what I found that he’d try to eat.. We still have some jars of it in the pantry. It’s out of date, but I can’t bring myself to toss it.
