Sad is an understatement. I watched a couple of the crowd-shot videos earlier today and bawled like a baby. But like you, I’m happy for the Obamas. They deserve to be carefree, especially after watching their hard work be systematically dismantled and destroyed by a petulant toddler. I can’t imagine how difficult that

I am an atheistic cynic and I love those Lambos to death, Cardi B. That green one is the stuff of my wildest dreams.

Me too, it feels like a dream. The fact that this amazing, brilliant, and compassionate couple were our President and First Lady seems unreal given the current state of affairs.

Jane Elliot is awesome. Her blue eye/brown eye experiment is such a powerful way to understand racism that just discussing* it in grade school drove home what racism is and what perpetuates it.

The Obamas are my Royal Family. I stan them forever and ever.

I love that picture.  The Obama’s more so than almost any other public couple seemed to have a real and generally happy marriage. I loved that they seemed to show genuine affection for each other while acknowledging that marriage takes work and that they don’t always agree on everything.

Not for nothing, but this is probably my favourite Barack/Michelle photograph. It was taken during their final state dinner, and I would pay good money to know what Barack said approximately five seconds before this picture was taken, because he looks pleased as hell with himself for having said it, but Michelle

What I've been shouting at the sky for the last few days.

That’s fine, certainly sweet, but abrupt? It just, like, ended, ya know?

She must really not want Chuck on the throne.

I was genuinely interested in what the fandom (who, as you can see, is largely composed of young women) thought about Karlie’s engagement.

I’m confused. Is this not courgette?

Has Markle been secretly British this whole time? What American calls a zucchini a courgette? Has she been auditioning to marry into British royalty her WHOLE LIFE perhaps???

From the NY Times article:

I believe you mean "out-kicking his coverage." I'm not even a football person, but the implication is pretty obvious.

“Punching up,” as they say.

Good on Nick Jonas for fighting above his weight class... so to speak. (Sorry, I couldn’t think of a better metaphor)

I love all three of those actors. How have I never heard of this?!?!

Did someone say Secret Ceremony?
