What job do you want said supporter to have?  Is McDonalds fryer ok?  What about a host at a restaurant?  Maybe PC tech at Geek Squad?  Or do you want them to be on welfare and without employment.  I’m very curious as your answer.

This.  It has become such that our society doesn’t value anyone without a college degree.  You are seen as a loser if you decide to become a mechanic or a butcher.  In other countries, those people are heavily valued members of the community. 

Tuition goes up because they know loans are guaranteed.  It’s easy money.  And people will take out massive loans to attend their dream school, even if they can’t afford it.
