The seller, the owner before you I mean, could have got into an accident and quickly sold the 4runner to CarMax before the accident showed up in any vehicle history. If so, well done him, I say, but bad for you. 

I drive it through a touch-free wash with undercarriage spray for $7 every couple of weeks in winter. If I have been driving in salt and dirt, I pressure wash the underside and wheel wells are the quarter-spray place too.

How can you assume EVs will not charge as fast as gas cars? This very article describes a 3 minute recharge time so its pretty conceivable with a larger capacity (batteries charge at a faster rate when depleted v when almost full). Charge times are tumbling right now so the trend is going towards a faster refill time.

Idling engines while sitting in cars is one of my peeves as well.
