As a historically anti-GMer, I think there are a couple of highlights in the lineup. The Cadillac sedans have been pretty good for years, and what they’ve done with the Volt and Bolt shows that they have some innovation left in them. I think that if we’re really serious about maximizing the number of EVs sold instead

“Given the option, companies will always pay workers as little as possible. This is the only truth.” Yes. True. People will pay as little as possible as well. If you hire something done at your home you will seek out the best intersection of cost and quality. When buying a product the same. Workers in a factory are no

It’s very sad to me as someone who grew up in a GM family, whose first 4 vehicles were all GM, and who still has a soft spot for them today, to admit that the only vehicles they make that I have any interest in are the C8 and CT5-V (maybe a Suburban), and that there is little prospect of that changing.

GM said that it wanted to double revenue by 2030, largely through new digital (subscription) services

Some traditions needs to die.

Do they even make Mustangs that aren’t special editions? I swear it’s worse than the Corvette - every Mustang popping up on BaT is a “special heritage edition” or some crap like that where it’s still a normal car with a boomer-tier appearance package. They certainly don’t bring any more money either.

Stick-on fake scoops are an abomination.

They can come out with as many packages as they’d like for the Mustang, but the face of it was still ruined when they refreshed it.

1st Gear: This is an excellent example of how stupid American politics Americans have become. Driving an electric vehicle shouldn’t be a political issue. Divesting from fossil fuels to preserve the environment shouldn’t be a political issue.

Hyundai? Proven reliability.

I’m surprised at how close the two beds are in length. I’d have thought - from pictures - that the Maverick’s bed was a good 6 inches or more longer than the Santa Cruz.

I wish with all my heart that you are correct.  If there is not a reckoning for some soon, then it will come for all of us.

I’ve been asked by a grey that I can’t reply to (hey Kinja) “Do you really think Myanmar and those other events would not have happened without Facebook?”

I think a deeply destructive, extreme interpretation of capitalism has taken root in the US, one that is extremely short sighted and self-defeating.

A person can be smart, where “people” are mostly stupid.

Keep dreaming. I mean, have you actually many Americans? Tried to get just 6 of them to agree one where to eat lunch?

just because you’re using facts to back your OPINION doesn’t make it correct or well founded.”

Perhaps, but it certainly makes it more so than the OPINION that is “not” backed by facts.

The more I see stuff like this happening, the more and more I’m disillusioned with the corporate pursuit of money at all costs. Yay, capitalism - people glue themselves to Facebook, which feeds them a bunch of stuff that’ll just make them feel bad, so that they use the site and get fed more and more ads and Facebook

This has been common knowledge for at least a decade, so it should not come as a surprise to anyone. What would be genuinely surprising is if ANYTHING of consequence was done about it.
