Holy smokes. I remember them being cramped. But not being able to get a helmet thru the window IMO would fall in to the realm of safety concern on a track. 

Some of the biggest complaints against it (hard to see out of) is exactly because they did listen to existing/previous customers.

Sounds about right, GM making the car great but not paying attention to its customers complaints then killing it off when it doesnt sell. You would think there is a correlation there...

Make it less ugly. Make it easier to see out of.  Maybe pay a bit more attention to Dodge and Ford and see why their competitors aren’t suffering the same sales problems.

So the Wishbone on the quarter panel inlet is just really awkward to me. So much so, that I tried to see what it looked like with no wishbone or stingray boomerang at all.

Agreed. I am glad they went back to NA for the Z06.

It would at least go back on my radar as a car I’d aspire to own. The new ones I see and subtly respect, but mostly just shrug. (In short, I hope they do bring back a manual option.)

You know what would make it more special?  A clutch pedal.

Transaxle and rigidity improvements were about all the tech that really warrant distinction that I can think of right now.

This has to be the base Z06, the Z07 package has the wing that ate Klingon Viagra pills.
