Come on man. Nearly all of the Chevy-branded offerings these days have a design problem. They are U.G.L.Y. The GMC versions (where applicable) are actually fairly handsome, but whoever’s in charge of the styling department for Chevy needs fired. New Silverado, new Camaro, Blazer. All cringeworthy.

Only because of how they styled it.

And ugly, and hard to see out of, and has far, far less usable space, and has weird interior ergonomics.

This. You’d have to have your eyes closed to sign on a new Silverado.

1st Gear: Also the Silverado is very, very ugly. That doesn’t help.

You could affix a mailbox to this.

Your source is almost certainly wrong.

That HD is truly hideous, cheese grater being just the worst version. They’re all terrible looking.

Yep, it’s ugly.

And what do you propose as a viable alternative?

It will be ala Germany 1936-45, not

It is Ranger-based.

The 19" you're not showing looks best.

L5 autonomy is impossible (to be safe) without full V2V and V2I communication with everything around it. People suggesting it isn’t haven’t gone into the details enough of all the hurdles required. We are decades away from this. Decades.

It’s so trumpian.

It’s irrelevant that if the driver is attentive, the system yields better results. Why? Because it makes drivers LESS attentive.

Yeah at least you get the option with the GTI. Oh the Germans. They’re like, “but why would you ever turn off the wonderful TC system we developed to perfection?” Because.

I’d agree with you on the ST if it actually came with a real limited slip. The gimmicky torque vectoring with the front brakes rears its ugly head when you actually drive it hard at an autocross or track, and absolutely annihilates those brakes on track. Too bad it's dead.

Yeah the visibility and substantially reduced practicality, even within the segment, would keep me from that. Plus, I loathe the interior infotainment/HVAC layout. I’ve driven two 2016+ SS and did not enjoy them, despite them being very fast and competent.

Divide that by 10 and add another $1000 for exhaust if you’re starting from a GT performance pack.
