They do. Bigger icons do work, but the way Tesla has it setup seems to not have that.

There’s a really good reason why having all those controls is good. It’s a enormous distraction to have all controls be on a touchscreen.

I sure hope not. Touchscreens as primary controls for things in a motor vehicle are a bad idea. Knobs and buttons can be used and provide tactile feedback without being looked for more than a brief glance. Stop trying to make the touchscreen (as primary) thing happen, just make the knobs and buttons higher quality and

You missed the point. They will want them, if the ones that are bigger/less efficient get taxed a lot more. The EU’s system is pretty good. I would actually just do it straight through gas tax and let people decide how much of their paycheck they want to go to fuel costs.
