My best pickup wasn't even mine. It was my kid's.

Me(at a bar, staring at a guy's basket of mozzarella sticks): "You gonna finish that?"
My husband and I met in grad school and didn't hit it off immediately. We got stuck in the same miserable class together on Monday nights. It talked about music history, and one night the instructor went on an endless ramble about Schubert's "syphilis attacks" and kept saying the nonsense phrase "syphilis attacks"…
Newly single, I ran into this hot guy I was acquainted with at a bar after my band played a show. I was like "Hey, I know you. What's your name again?"
He told me his name and my next question was "Wanna go make out in your car?"
And then Wayne asks Erin where she's from, and where she's going. While Newt Gingrich describes her over the phone.
I disagree with just about everything you've written here. I think the self-flagellation about how we don't say we love America enough is both untrue and unhelpful. But more to the point, the Right isn't one big happy united front, not even close. They're at CPAC, which is the second from the right on the spectrum…
The only way this can end is with one of you getting called up on stage by Wayne LaPierre to receive the AR-15 you've won in a raffle.
He is GLORIOUS in that wig
Hey, you know those people who really like plain cheese pizza? They also listen to music.
The fact that this has any stars at all is so deeply and profoundly concerning to me.
Where there is only one set of footsteps, that is when Phyllis carried you.
So they beat them, then mocked them?
When I left catholicism for atheism I thought, "It feels nice not to be associated with self-righteous narrow-minded assholes anymore." Oh well. Wonder if the sikhs are accepting applications.
fellow catholics-
I totally agree, that's like kicking someone when they are already down. You beat them, you won! Why do you have to be a dick and taunt them? Just take your victory and show good sportsmanship by shaking their hands, saying good game and that's it! Since when is winning not enough?
I am in no way saying that Christianity shouldn't be mocked. All religions should because they are silly. Mock away.
Fine but was the point of this to mock a religion or (as another commenter said) to make the kids they beat feel bad? I think it's the latter and therefore not a great look.
Mocking is rude. I leaned that when I was 5.
They aren't mocking Catholicism, they are mocking other kids for essentially not being them. I think that's what lots of people see as the difference.
I'm about as agnostic as you can get without being a full-on atheist, and I think this is rude and an example of bad winning.
