Honestly orchids do sort of love being neglected!! They are much happier being ignored, underwatered and with crowded roots, than being fussed over and wet. You’re doing great.

Random Green Bay Packers fan chiming in here to note that you said that every team but the Chargers re-hired their cheerleaders, but the Packers don’t have their own professional cheerleaders. They hire college squads (usually from UW Green Bay) to cheer at some home games, but didn’t this year.

I was hoping this article would be how we should all be making resolutions around doing things we enjoy and spending times on the things that matter to us. So I was on board with the first three paragraphs... but then... five tips on how to appropriately plan for your weight loss/diet/exercise goal? Great. (eyeroll).

Agree that this is unhealthy, but also, having a mentality in which a person can be “caught” eating cake is not really healthy either. Unless she stole that cake from a birthday party and ran away with it while the children cried, you didn’t catch her doing anything.

The only form of protecting other people that these men have any interest in engaging with is if they can be violent while they do it. The appeal of traditional male “protectiveness” is the violence, not the protection.

I agree that I could sort of take or leave Pete Davidson’s performance in this - it was basically exactly what I expected it to be - but boy, did I love Marisa Tomei in this

“Tattered Cover has been largely quiet in the wake of the events that have unfolded over the last ten days. We want to make a statement of support and take a moment to explain why we’ve been quiet.”

And, now that I look at their store locator, there are some stores in my area that are currently open with limited hours, and others that are closed. So I don’t think it was a state order.

I’m sure it was a confusing time for the store staff. But that’s something they could have easily explained either time I called: “We have been ordered to close and it would be illegal to fulfill your order.” Also - to the point of this article - if they actually cared about protecting healthcare workers, they would

I work for a hospital and ordered heavy gauge clear vinyl from local JoAnn’s fabric stores so we could quickly set up “sneeze guards” to protect our staff who typically interact with patients across a desk, like registrars. I ordered basically everything I could find in our local area one day and got confirmation

Sunday? Is that you? Can we trust ANY positive internetting about these products??

The tone of her book is very different from the tone of her tweets. It’s a really compelling read but can be bleak at times, and mostly is not about dogsledding.

Once I met a guy at a bar and commented that it was my first time at that particular bar and I hadn’t heard about it before then. His friend was like, “How can you not know about this? Everyone knows this bar!” so I lied and said I’d just moved to town a couple weeks earlier because I didn’t want to seem lame. But I

Are they... albatross eggs??

Yeah, “staying up” is... not the metaphor most people associate with ships. “Oh boy, is a THAT staying up ship!” = not a thing.

Yes, I’ll agree with you there - good of the judge to call it out. I do think the way the headline was written was a poor editorial choice, but perhaps we’ll have to agree to disagree on that one.

Yeah I get that, but it seems like very unnecessary clarification that a judge accurately called her a terrorist. If a judge said to a convicted murderer, “You are a murderer,” we wouldn’t see a headline that said “Psychotic ‘Murderer’ Charles Manson....” This woman isn’t a terrorist because the judge said so, she’s a

I think we can just call her a terrorist and not a “‘terrorist’”.

10/10, would watch.

I can’t exactly put into words why this is so frightening, but here’s a bunch of White House interns giggling
