As far as I can tell, their only qualification for getting the GOT job was that they read the books and had guessed Jon Snow’s real ancestry. Now they’re 100-million-dollars superstars.

I listened to Anthony Heald’s reading of Moby Dick, over 30 hours. I did so because it was free from audible on world book day, or something like that. Heald’s narration was absolutely terrific. The book starts with a captivating story of a man looking for work and adventure, meeting new and interesting people, then

In the short term, maybe, but proper conclusions to shows keep subscribers. For every person who subs for the hot new show, there are going to be at least as many who cancel because the show they subbed for ended prematurely. People who didn’t sub up front are going to have no interest in half-shows.

They might seem like similar concepts on the surface, which is probably why B&W thought they could copy it like everyone in hollywood does their damndest to copy success, but we have so much more distance between us and the concepts of High Castle than we do to racism.

What is netflix even doing?  Make high profile shows to get people to sub, then cancel them, spend billions on the likes of Adam Sandler and these two, who are all on the decline in their careers.  They can’t possibly be thinking long term.

I only recently learned that red Swedish Fish are lingonberry flavored, which makes total sense once you hear it.

I hate BK burgers, but those tacos in 2002 were awesome.

I love this idea.

- Simmons was acting robotic herself when she made that save at the end. I guess that’s her in charge mode.

If there isn’t an entire episode of Agent Carter next season, I am going to be pissed.  Throw in a Captain America cameo, too, he’s in the past now.

I go by many names. Captain. Gary. Just the two, I guess.

I used to buy the frozen rib sandwiches, they were pretty damn good and satisfied the McRib craving. I can’t eat gluten anymore, and the the patties are not gluten free. Half the appeal of the sandwich was the soft bun- I’d settle for a rib patty on mediocre GF bread, but I can’t even have that :(

Krypton is really good and I love how the show has progressed. My two least favorite actors from season 1 have been fixed, Brainiac is great, Colin Salmon surprises no one by continuing to be amazing- just so much better than it has any right to be.

Tom Hardy should be making more Taboo, nobody wants Venom.

Tremors is a masterpiece! So is Lou Diamond Philips!

I listened to the 30 hour audiobook. It starts out great, the story of Ishmael coming to a port town looking for work/adventure, meeting Queequeg and finding the Pequod- this is really good stuff. Then it devolves into hour after hour of lecture on whales, whaling, boats, ropes, white things, white things that are

I love Hateful Eight. My friend, who loves Tarantino and is the reason I went to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, didn’t like it, but he isn’t as into westerns as I am, and he thought it was too long to see in the theater.
