It is not a matter of course. B12 is naturally occuring in animals’ digestive tracts (especially in the case of ruminants (such as cows and sheep). There is no need to supplement if there is enough cobalt and selenium in the pasture they’re eating and if there isn’t, then the solution is to fix the pasture.
