And it really would have been a great sub-story to see Crane deal with, just as he felt like he found his place in this era, that hes just a supporting role to the witnesses. DOES he really belong? WAS it worth everything he lost? DID Washington know?

Up until the beginning of this season, Id been hoping that it would turn out both Mills sisters were the witnesses, and Ichabod was just sorta super instrumental to the cause but not actually a witness (it would actually make a helluva lot more sense).
