It’s not the most beautiful car in the world, but I generally like it.

I’ve got a decent amount of seat time in a ‘71 911t, and I find it to be downright fantastic. Especially when you compare it to other vehicles of a similar era.
“Here’s the thing. You say people aren’t ok with luxury being overly complicated.”
Still ugly as hell, and still not available as a hatch.
You are still missing the point. Back in 1960, up-market brands were able to find ways to justify charging more for their products that didn’t result in overly complicated pointless headlights.
No, that is my point. Back in the day, even premium car brands were somewhat affordable to fix. They were made with sealed beam headlights (not that I want to go back to those) steel, and basically the same stuff the lower end things were. So, busting the headlight of your ‘60 DeSoto cost the same to fix as busting…
What is the point of this comment? People still want new, they still want luxury, they just don’t want unnecessarily complicated and expensive to fix. There was a period of time that crunching a Volvo, Porsche or even a Ferrari in a minor fender bender cost relatively the same to fix as a Ford, Chevy or DeSoto. And…
If we are being pedantic, I believe it was officially called the Dodge Viper RT/10 Roadster
Hammerheadfistpunch is just full of hot takes lately. Just the other day they were saying the Rivian ranked well just because it’s new and shiny. And now here he is shitting on the Lightning (a thing that is new and shiny) because he specifically searched for bad examples, and found some bad examples. Color me…
Maverick version please.
It’s almost like there are more uses for a truck than just towing... that’s my entire point.
I saw a GT3 parked at the local Costco the other day. I mean, what’s even the point? The thing should have been purchased by a racecar driver and should never leave the track...
The only truck thing you’ve been able to point out it isn’t great at is towing long distances. 98% of trucks I see aren’t towing dick.
This is what I find the funniest. Why weren’t their articles showing EcoBoost gas mileage dropped from like 18 to 6 when you towed a god damn sail of a trailer at maximum capacity up a continuous incline while going 80 mph.
NO NO NO, I’M THE ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD THAT NEEDS TO TOW A HORSE TRAILER THAT FITS ELEVENTIY MILLION HORSES FOR 87 THOUSAND MILES STRAIGHT WITHOUT STOPPING BECAUSE I JUST PISS AND SHIT MY BRITCHES WITHOUT STOPPING
Hey, you’re one of those people I said that needs to tow and therefore isn’t interested. Thanks for commenting!
Why do people keep ranting about range while towing? People that actually need to tow any great distance aren’t interested in these. These are for people that need to tow their boat five miles to the lake/river/whatever, but otherwise use their truck like a family sedan.
Tank dipping isn’t the only anti corrosion measure. There is also cavity waxes and the like (VW’s are notorious for bleeding them out a bit over the years).
Imagine if they were recording vertically...
Exactly. In regards to Jean’s former charity (Yele)...
