Minus the weight of rust proofing.

The weight difference is negligible density of 304 stainless is 7.93 g/cm^3 while mild steel is 7.85. Less than a 1% difference.

Everytime this Scott Satellite guy comments, it seems based off false preconceived notions.

I think it looks cool.  Seems like the best option may be to scale it back a bit and find something else that also looks cool, but is more cost effective.

This is a list of shiny new things... come on dude.  One has to win.

If you are already pre-approved, it doesn’t really add much inconvenience. The only inconvenient is getting those financing options before hand, which you’ve already done to ensure the dealer is offering a good financing package... right?

So, go with dealers just because? I’m a lot more loyal to my local credit union and/or bank, institutions I interact with on a near daily basis, than I am with a dealer—even the rare “good” dealer.  Seriously, if the dealer is offering the same financing package as you can find elsewhere, why go with it?  Not sure why

If the dealer just meets the financing I was able to find elsewhere, I’m still not going with the dealer. Because fuck dealers, that’s why. If dealers want me to use their financing, they need to beat what I can find elsewhere.

The USPS doesn’t need some whoopass-custom designed from the ground up when a perfectly viable alternative platform is readily available and will continue to get cutting edge updates as they become available.

This year, Haas will supposedly have more upgrades than they have in the past.

How is McLaren not considered a backmarker this season? Nearly every single ranking list I’ve come by (Buxton, The Race, ESPN) and my own eyes has me guessing that they’ll be one of the back three.

It’s not scripted, but it’s edited/cut/displayed in a disingenuous way and always has been.

I’m all for allowing a motorcycle license at 12 if a person can demonstrate knowledge of traffic laws. You ride on 2 wheels for a while and suddenly you pay attention more on 4.

Yeah, add it with the screens and it just reeks of Fast and Furious or Pimp My Ride.  It’s tacky as fuck.

F1TV initially hypothesized that this was due to cost cap reasons, but that’s not quite true; travel expenses aren’t covered by the cost cap, since travel expenses aren’t directly related to the development of the car.

Designing it so you need a phone? No thanks. Making the phone an additional option?  Sure.

I thought that regulation wouldn’t have even applied in this case because the train was too short.

My general feeling with touchscreens is that they are good for menu based things. My problem with touchscreens, is that it often means everything is put into a menu whether or not it should be in a menu. Changing radio settings, or things like how long the lights will stay on after I lock the car? Great use of a

Yeah, as long as you basically said “I’m spending $50k”and thus compared similar class vehicles in that price range, I’m guessing the EV will always win because electricity is generally cheaper given you aren’t charging at DC fast chargers, and the EV potentially comes with a big tax incentive.

Man, if CR didn’t miss the opportunity to turn their article into an actual tool that you could enter info into.  What car you’ve got and the car you want to replace it with (or maybe just the two cars you are looking at buying; one ICE and one EV) where you live, maybe some more information, and it gives you a quick
