I would still advocate for no jail. Jail is supposed to rehabilitate but if you suffer from mental illness and you committed a crime because of your mental illness, then getting you treatment is the best form of rehabilitation. I think that my ideal prison system is the Scandinavian one.

Is a jail sentence mandatory? If it was proven that she had Post Partum psychosis then why not get her psychological help? Jail is not going to help her at all.
