My brother messaged me the other day and told me his Civic was making a loud clunking noise over bumps. I think it has somewhere around 80-85k on it - I explained to him that eventually on Japanese compacts, the front end turns into a mess of crunches and squeaks when end links / bushings / strut mounts / struts /…
I remember those relationships where I actually tried to maintain an “open line of communication” complete with “honesty”.
Those were the worst.
I tried to have EA Sports teach me the rules to things like rugby and cricket in the late 90s, and failed.
*stares blankly*
May I suggest for you, specifically, then, to buy something / anything other than an XJ for your winter car.
It’s just a different take from:
1) Most people’s views of cars they want to protect from the winter season (nice sports cars / expensive collector cars)
and
2) Most people’s views of the use of old Jeep Cherokees (where a lot of people SPECIFICALLY buy these to deal with winter conditions).
Different strokes and…
Oh man, that dashboard. It feels like there’s 7 layers extending out about 10 feet when you sit on the inside of a current-gen Civic.
Shit, I just read over it. Sorry - I scrolled up and saw it says three.
You have three old Jeeps that you don’t want to drive in winter?!?!
Wait....how many old Jeeps do you have that you don’t want to drive in winter again?
They’re still allowing the subsidized phone 2-year upgrade prices...but even for the older 6 it says the plan is incompatible.
Ah well, I rarely scrape above 500mb data usage (almost always on wifi), so I suppose my future is in a low-data plan. The current Verizon “small” plan is $50/mo, but paying full price for…
Really, it took an act of congress to somehow get my old SERO plan upgraded to the SERO 500 plan when I went from Treo to iPhone. I never thought it would succeed, but somehow in the end it happened. Not sure when the End Of Line was / would have been on it.
This is a no-win for me, as I’m still clutching my Sprint SERO plan from years and years ago and paying $50/mo for unlimited data / text on my iPhone 4s.
I tried to get in before they nixed the subsidized cell phones forever (which you can still get a 6 on their website for $199 w/a new 2-year contract), but it now…
That’s a real bathtub seating position in that ride.
Still, it can be tough with 16gb even if you stream videos / music / etc as you get a big chunk of that taken out of the box via the OS (and that just increases as things go forward), and then on an Apple device, you have weird things that start happening to your data once you hit x% free space, which isn’t uncommon…
Just crank the engine but don’t start it a few times if it’s been sitting for a period of months re: getting oil in the cylinders, etc. Gas, 3 months? Whew...yeah, I think you can go a good deal longer on most pump gas these days. Fill it up all the way before you store it, maybe use some stabil / additive, should be…
It’s not that they want to initiate contact to me so much as some of them want to have their cake and eat it too in that they’re perfectly fine with putting men in charge of making the first move and being responsible for the energy it takes to start a connection and advance a relationship to a physical stage, etc,…
I generally only have a few system-related apps running at any given time (even try to keep up on those and close them - ie, messages, mail, photos, etc) plus maybe one or two other apps here and there and I have frequent lagged behavior with the “home” button, in that it often does not respond to one press, I wait…
If you have anything over what, iOS 6 on it, it pretty much has fallen over and died.
I ran 5.x for the longest time because I have a 16gb and had music on there and never had much storage space free. Eventually got to a point where even though I barely use any apps, the ones I did use required a newer version of iOS,…
This makes complete sense. I used to play Tecmo Super Bowl against Belichick and he always had this toady guy sitting behind us eating potato chips rooting him on. I thought Belichick was looking back at him all the time to make sure he wasn’t choking, but now that I think about it, he picked every play I ever ran. I…
