I like you starting this comment out like you have a great understanding of this dynamic, and then proceeding to prove that you severely lack self-awareness.

This is very true. Often, when you ask a person 'list some things you like about your girlfriend'...at least half of the things will be habits (not permanent traits) or 'physical traits' which are actually part of the abovementioned skillset.
Can you just leave me alone? Why are you here? What is your point? This has nothing to do with you? I really, really, really don't want to deal with you. Chritter is perfectly capable of defending himself and more. We've already talked it out. It's fine. Please leave me alone.
I'm so confused.
I already starred this, but I want to repeat my extreme approval of what you wrote here. SO eloquently stated.
Well said! If philosophy can't prove it, and logic and reason can't prove it, I don't what can.

It's not being a coward, when you are a small woman, and large men are constantly coming up to you, making sexual suggestions at you, some of them grab at you, all of them leer at you.... Any of them could turn aggressive easily. It's being smart to be wary of that.
I think you're missing the point. When someone makes a pass at a woman on the street, a million scenarios go through her head at once, and many of them are negative hypothetical bad ones. Anyone who approaches a woman on the street is Schroedinger's Rapist. It is not "violence", it is "perceived violence"...but the…
The notion that this is particular to pit bulls is silly. When I was a kid, I grew up in a forested town where everyone had dogs and they ran around town together playing with no leashes or owners. These dogs were all nice wonderful dogs, but once, on my 13th bday a mutt (who was actually with his owner but off leash)…
I want to cuddle the crap out that adorable little pup. You are so lucky!
Word. I've lived in both NY and Hollywood (NY currently), and New York is far superior in terms of (everything) being grounded in reality and people being allowed to have depth, and actual creativity (rather than the sort of watering down that happens to people's art after living in Hollywood for too long).
What people don't seem to understand about Scientology is that I'd say the vast majority of the celebrities who are Scientologists are not these "loonies" who believe in Scientology—but rather that Scientology is just the most glaring signal of pretty much everything that is super fucked up in Hollywood. Hollywood is…
100% agree with everything you are saying!
Even in Totoro, or From Up on Poppy Hill, or Howl's Moving Castle, or The Cat Returns, etc..their types of films generally associated with younger audiences and with the female leads being quieter, non-violent, and looking to a man (or cat or wizard or forest spirit)....EVEN with these characters, these are still…
Maybe they were talking about Dame Judy Dench in Shakespeare in Love.
Alien and Aliens.
YOU WIN!
This is really interesting, because since I graduated High School in '04, I have never taken a photo with no makeup I don't think. But in High School I NEVER wore a lick of makeup, and I was damned cute. So which is better? I think however you feel comfortable, and not doing something for other people is best.
