I think it's scale, the shifters have to be longer for ergonomics. I might be completely wrong though.

Oh ya, it's totally the shifter.
Full size trucks suck just because the shifter is so long. Smaller trucks aren't bad at all, it's just a matter of scale. The shifter has to be so long it just makes it a bitch, IMO.
Personal opinion here but, no. Manuals are annoying in trucks because of the shift throws. Shifting into 5th or 6th always feels like reaching into the back of the fridge to get the last beer on a Friday night. You really want but it's almost to much of a pain in the ass to reach all the way in there to get it. And,…
Dammit, now I am the moron who doesn't read the link. I just watched the video and that was the first thing that came to mind. Oh well.
Van guy is awesome, he was definitely wanting angry Suzuki guy to swing on him so he could fight. I definitely feel like the words "Oh ya, why don't you try that on me," were said.
Oh, thanks. I have told that story a grand total of 4 times. I have learned from people's reactions to it to tell it very gently.
I sense sarcasm, you're not one of the KBR that had to get the dog out are you?
No, everyone else on the convoy though it was hilarious. Not so much the dog getting killed, mostly us trying to wash vomit off the truck with bottled water and a dust broom.
At least something good might come in out of it.

I am not making a "you walked into my fist" argument at all. My argument is that they were breaking the law by watching the street races, they made a decision to break the law that led to their own deaths. They are partially responsible.
Both of the examples that you used showed intent to murder an other person. Which this does not have, neither one of these dudes set up these races to murder anyone.
I think we are mostly in agree also. To me it isn't so much a moral issue. It is a legal one, they were participating in a illegal event, watching street racing is illegal in California, which led to their deaths. They were breaking the law when they died, to me that makes a huge difference.
The piece I quoted above is the press release released by the DA office yesterday.
I am not disagreeing that these 2 should be charged for this, their actions led to the deaths of 2 people.
According to this article on hotrod.com and the official press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office (quoted below) the DA is saying neither one of them was driving. They were "promoting and organized" the race. I am sorry that 2 people died. But, this seems like a "someone is going down for…
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air warned us. But we didn't listen. Now, we will suffer.
I voted NP but, I wouldn't buy it.
