As far as the show goes they aren't. But, it is a pretty well know fact that they all raced on the street before the show, that is not something that has never been hidden. Once the show is over they will probably continue to race on the street too.

I am not defending them at all. I am simply saying your statement was at least half wrong.
Actually, almost all of these guys do race on the track too. I am pretty sure they use the NHRA tech rules as the safety standards for the cars on the show. The chassis certs and stuff have never been shown but they look like they are probably legal.
I don't think you can shame them, into not street racing. If they are doing it on TV. I think they're not going to be shamed be cause some people on a website are upset about it.
I really like this and good luck to you guys in trying to get this off the ground. If I ever make it to Alabama I would love to come to one of these.
Stef, I read this right after you posted it and I was not going to comment because I am not the type of person who thinks arguing on the internet makes me cool. But, I wanted to point out some stuff to you. BTW, I think you are awesome as a person and, I love Blackflag, and I think this is the first post you have ever…
The only problem with running in reverse is the safety aspect. The sand pit and catch fences are at the end of the track. Also in this instance you are racing towards the ends of the walls, if a car were to go out of control and hit the end of that it would be pretty ugly.
I think we are basically agreeing here.
As you said the no prep race bring out huge crowds. But the NHRA is also threatening to shut those down or take take away the NHRA sanction to tracks that host them.
I love drag racing, but, I hated that show. They should bring back "Pinks All out." That I would watch, don't have that douchey bald guy as the host though.
I am not female bashing. But, her career results don't look too good for an F1 seat. For the sake of females in motor racing I hope she isn't just a pretty face bringing money to the team.
I have been looking foward to this episode since I saw the trailer. I wish Hammond was in one if the trucks, he would probably love bashing around in one of them.
I was going to post this. Everyone should read "Arsenal of Democracy," tells this whole story and talks a lot about Edsel and Henry Ford's relationship. It's a great read.
Yes this should been Samuel Prescott.
Why wait, there's already a used one on cars.com
I am not sure if Stef is a Tony Stewart fan but him crashing out of the Daytona 500 is kind of big news because, he has never won it. He is 0-17 in the 500 and always seems to finish very badly in the race. I think the last 4 races in a row he finished 40th or worse. It is kind of like the Andretti Indy 500 curse.
Ya, but it's not like it was Dale Earnhardt Sr. dumping him to get the win. It was Austin Dillon being a bad driver in a good car.
That would only work if people could understand that the left lane is for passing only. Which, depending on where you live, most don't.
At the risk of sounding like a bad person, a little bit of both.
Dammit, I was fully expecting him to get run over by his own car.
