Bieber, like fellow Canadian Ted Cruz, was a perfectly normal dude who was made into an idiot by their time in the US.

Wait... He's only concerned about disclosing his own sexuality? His history with his Girlfriend's father ISNT the issue? Or is my reading comprehension terrible? I'm confused.

That (reaction) was ... uncomfortable. I think some people would be freaking out about this clip if their gender roles were reversed.

I don’t know. I do know when my grandpa was going through this, he’d sometimes forget my cousins and I were his granddaughters, and say really gross, inappropriate things to us. At other times, he knew us and loved us and respected us and would have expected us to punch any guy saying that shit. That doesn’t address

I just had such a problem with that Pete Davidson sketch. I really hate the double standard we have when boys are preyed upon by teachers vs. girls in the same situation. Regardless of sex, they are children and children cannot consent. Period.

My mom has a mild form of dementia that mostly shows up as forgetfulness. I’m coming to realize that some of her memories just aren’t correct. It’s hard because she’s extremely intelligent and had an amazing memory before this happened.

I don’t have firsthand experience, but a close friend is taking care of her mom who is going through dementia, and she says a LOT of stuff that just can’t be verified. The one off the top of my head is that she insists that she lives in houses that my friend is pretty sure never existed. You might ask her doctor.

It’s complicated. It could be true; it could be something from a movie and some truth, it could be something that happened to someone else, etc.

Can you ask them about these stories when they are in a clear frame of mind, in a way that is maybe kinda vague ir won’t make them defensive? I’m inclined to think a lot of recollections that happen in moments of decline or agitation are, at the very least, confused (possibly with things that happened but maybe not to

My experience comes with grandparents, but it’s normal. The later it gets the more strain has been put on your mind. Mornings do tend to be the Best part of the day. The stories, take them as they come. Don’t press too much unless it’s worrisome. Xo

I wish I could give you some sort of universal answer, but I think this varies a lot! I do have some direct experience with it, but I don’t think that’s helpful, because all I can tell you is what happened with my particular relative. That is, he got less reliable in his recollections as the day grew long and he got

Do you mean that the person is saying things while they are sundowning, and you are not sure if these stories are true, or due to dementia? Hard to say. I have seen family members go through dementia. At that time of day, you tend to see a lot of paranoia and agitation. It’s not fun.

How many times during the interview did they gloss over or substitute a different word for rape?

She lost her license after the scandal? “The scandal?”

Alternate headline.

Redacted because I thought you meant starting pitchers.

Am I the only fuckwit who thought starter meant starting pitchers?

I hate, hate, hate this shit. $29/week is not what families on SNAP are expected to live on. SNAP stands for SUPPLEMENTAL Nutrition Assistance Program. It is meant to be a supplement to your income. If you have no income, you get the full benefit amount, which for a single person is $194/month (or $48.50 a week.)

As a Canadian I didn’t know how much I would miss this ‘til I moved to the US.

Well he is Canadian.
