Usually I enjoy SNL but to be honest I did not think anything last night was really that good (or to put it a different way I thought the best part was most of Weekend Update). I thought everything was well done (with one exception), and could see what they were shooting for in most cases, but it left me with more of

The fact that he was apparently had no social skills of any kind coupled with his being so universally disliked (reviled?), and that he has managed to get this far in the politic world, actually makes me more scared about his future, not just for this election, but in politics in general.

(Like I really know but...)

Nah, he has all sorts of money rolling in from CSI and his late night show (at least I assume he has). Though who could not use a few (or sixty million) extra bucks in their pockets.

I think I had a couple of pairs of winter boots that looked like that (minus the stripe) back in the sixties when I was living in Middle of Nowhere, Canada.

‘Cause I am thick it may only be me, but was anyone else trying to work out what the phrase “fit on door” might mean before they read the whole post?

When this month are the Oscars being held (I assume it is this month because TCM is running their Oscar programming)? Do they always wait until the (so to speak) last minute to ask folks to be presenters? Forget all the other reasons, I think I would say no just because they waited until the last minute to ask me.

I have to admit to being somewhat curious as to what the casting people saw in Mr. Fiennes to hire him in the part (or was it done just to stir up publicity?). Even if you take race, etc., out of the equation I just do not see anything that makes me think Joseph Fiennes could realistically portray Michael Jackson, let

(Off-topic because it really has nothing to do with helping you sleep, plus this is kind of - well very - stupid and probably will not help because of the anything touching your skin is torture part.)

(Take this with a grain of salt because I am going off a couple of things I read a few months back)

I am not the biggest Grey’s, Scandal, etc., fan but for a minute I was all psyched thinking we might be getting a B613 spin off. Dammit.

Forget Aaron Sorkin, (probably because I am old) I have truly thought since Scandal started airing that she is/will continue to be the 21st century (better) version of Aaron Spelling for ABC.

“international singing sensation”

“Allen’s end game is clearly just a fair shake in distribution and procuring the same carriage a white-owned company would receive”

Sorry for a dumb question but when they say Fox Searchlight bought the film for 17.5 million does that mean Fox bought the rights to show it just in theatres (I guess distribution rights?), Fox bought all the rights to the film for x number of years then they revert back to Mr.Parker, or that Fox bought the film

I honestly thought and still think* that, assuming we are talking about only scripted shows, the UK has been and is ahead of the US in terms of onscreen diversity (though full disclosure, I also thought that US tv was more diverse in the past than it has been in the last few years).

Okay, I give, what is the meaning of the word “Area” (“Area Men Apparently Competent ...”) in the title? The standard definitition does not make sense, so I tried looking it up on the UD but the definition there did not fit either. What am I not understanding as usual this time? Thanks.

Sorry for a really stupid question but are all safety razors and blades interchangeable? Will any blades I buy work with any handle?

Just wondering, not really important to the post, no idea who these guys are, but why is the process called “bar-to-bean”? Only asking because to someone like me (who is happy with a Coffee Crisp) it just seems backwards, so I am curious why they phrase it that way. Thanks.

Seeing your pic made me realize the cars from Gerry Anderson’s UFO (or since Akira is here any Anderson production I guess) could have made the cut also.
