Is it honestly bleaker, grittier, etc., than the 1970 or 1971 film with John Finch and Francesca Annis? Because that one was (at least to me) very intense and bleak, not sure I can or want to see anything bleaker than that version.
Along these lines (though it is not quite the same thing) if you enjoy these and have some time to kill you might also enjoy the old ads on sites like VintageAdBrowser and Vintage-Ads (left off the .com’s, did not want to link). For whatever reason I just get a kick out of looking (or cringing) at the ads, plus on…
Because I am not sure/I really cannot tell, just to be clear that is a picture of Jeremy Piven, John or Jon Mayer, and James Corden (I think that is the name of the host that follows Stephen Colbert? He was also on Doctor Who a couple of times)? Thanks.
If you told me the picture of the After Affleck was a picture of a Madame Toussauds wax statue of Mr. Affleck I would believe it (I am honestly not convinced that it is not). It still looks like him to me, no major trauma (or whatever), just ... off, I guess.
Weird question to ask, but maybe someone knows - how long is The Wiz scheduled to run tonight? I though it was from 8 to 11, my schedule shows 8 to 11, but my local affiliate has already broken in to let us know that they are running some special local interest program starting at (I guess) 10:30 before the 11 PM…
Not exactly on topic but, if you have it on your system and and older tv like this interests you, JLTV/Jewish Life TV runs old episodes of That Show with Joan Rivers from (I think) 1969 or 1970. Between the subjects, guests, and frankly just the way folks talk, interact, and just dress and it is a fascinating watch.
[edit] Never mind.
I honestly know I must be missing something, something obvious has shot right over my head, but while I see the other companies benching Mr. Deen, his products, etc., I do not understand what AVN has done to distance themselves. That press release seems very neutral, political, something that looks like they put out…
I think I saw this on Top Gear but aren’t there also some police departments in the U.S. that use Corvettes as official or marked police cars?
[edit TL even I would not be bothered to read it]
Sorry for a dumb question but how come the NFL has the last say on who can carry guns into the stadium? Isn’t it up to whatever jurisdiction the stadium is located in, whatever the local laws are?
“The notion of a jock, a grind, a beauty queen, a burnout, and a large, anthropomorphic canine...”
Weird question I know but is there any reason the network kept playing the Munsters theme when they went to commercial? Does the theme have special meaning for one of the teams, the area, or just Canadians in general?
But hasn’t Secretary Clinton done this before, stopped using her maiden name when campaigning (because of focus groups/polling/handlers) only to start using it again after being elected?
Sorry, did not realize it was so large - cannot edit to remove it for some reason (I am in the edit time window, but it will not let me).
This is a dumb question that has probably been answered and I missed it, but were the “three masked white men” wearing regular balaclavas or something similar because of the weather, or scarfs over their faces, and were others in the crowd also dressed the same way, or were the three actually wearing actual masks…
