(I feel have to mention that I am a shut in who has quite a lot of time to read, sketch, watch tv, movies, read Jez, etc.,)

(With the "excuse" that I am a shut-in and watch everything and anything)

(If you are moving to a moderately well inhabited area ignore this)

I am not going to phrase this well but does anyone else find it wrong or problematic* (I am sure there are better words to use) when incest is listed in charges? I cannot see any other way to handle it**, because all the charges are public, but I just think it lessens or destroys the victim's anonymity, one of the few

Spending both time in a used book store and money on used books. Not that I will not buy new books (I do), but something about a second-hand book store, the stacks of books, hopefully slightly unsorted (other than by genre) and deep, the hunting around and finding a copy of something (to me) great and unexpected.

Not that it matters overall, and I more-than-likely may be misunderstanding the use of 'starring' or 'lead' in this case (plus I have not read the linked article), but she has starred in at least one film. Not so coincidentally (as they run it all the time) I just watched her again in the Westworld sequel Futureworld

A mother near our area has also been charged in connection with the death of her son, a death allegedly caused by her boyfriend when she was not present (the child was in the boyfriend's care when she was at a doctor's appointment).

Based on my non-restaurant related work history not all shops are set up that way, though. I have worked in several unionized plants and factories and, while they provided all our work clothes, boots, etc., changing or being ready for work was always on us. Maybe it is a state by state, province by province thing?

I am completely sober and I also thought it was Sarah Paulson (though I did recognize Lady Gaga. I just figured she was doing something on/for an episode of American Horror Story).

According to my folks cruises are great if you are confined to a wheelchair. His motor functions are too far gone now so he can no longer go on cruises* (and this is going back twenty-odd years so things may have changed, though I cannot see how - a ship is still a ship), but when my Dad was first confined to a chair

I just realized that I still do not know what 'fux' means in this case. None of the definitions seem to work or make sense when I substitute them in the sentence.

[Just to help out anyone who, like me, ends up searching to understand new (at least to me) words (which between Jez and my advancing age is happening to me more and more).]

[edit] (Full disclosure that a lot of U.S. slang/swearing confuses me or I just plain do not understand it, so I do know that I am not right, but ... )

What! What! What is that from? Please please pretty please tell us (and thank you)!

Re: Trader Joe's and Unibroue - Does anyone know offhand if Unibroue has anything to do with Trader Joe's Providential Golden Ale (and is it good)? Thanks.

My thanks also. I searched Urban Dictionary but came up blank.

(Not that my opinion matters, but i enjoy her voice/her music very much. Anyway...)

"We don't call the penis and testicles the "spermatazoa syringe" when we talk about reproduction."

Short version: If you are not getting enough sun/outdoor time low-dose vitamin D might help with, or alleviate, the tingling.

I am glad you brought the NAACP bombing up, I was wondering the same thing about it not really making the news (though I am somewhat sure there is news out there if I just search for it). I know Gawker covered it* when it first happened, but beyond that I have not seen anything about it.
