(Not that it in any way matters, but ...) Holey Moley - I actually know who all these "stars" are without having to google any of them!

When forced to steam buns I usually just place a wire cooling rack over the pot of boiling water. Just seemed the easiest way to do it.

But 'Scandal' is a guilty pleasure! Look, everyone I know watches 'Grey's Anatomy' (including my eighty plus year old father - it is his favourite scripted show). Most watched 'Private Practice'. But I am the only one who watches 'Scandal'. No one will watch it with me. And as I can not break down why I get

So she is - I missed the second Alex because I was being a smart ass trying to come up with all the characters that did not make the list.

That is a character Alex Kingston played in the new version of 'Upstairs, Downstairs' (though it makes sense to me that River Song was/is/will be as omnisexual as Jack Harkness - if not more adventuresome, if that is possible).

Off the top of my head original Who - especially Troughton (what is left), early Tom Baker, and some Davison, Blake's 7, Omega Factor, Avengers, Misfits (I guess almost any UK telefantasy available - watching Ultraviolet now), Python, Goodies, Boosh, first two seasons of ReGenesis, Sandbaggers, NOVA, McLoud's

Has CN ever released a reason for the unexpected hiatus? I have read speculation that it had something to do with a twentieth anniversary celebration (?), or that DC/Warner lost rights to certain characters, and there are probably other reasons floating around that I had not read*, but just wondered if there was any

Yes, it is Peter Davison as Albert Campion. with Brian Glover as his manservant Magersfontein Lugg, in the 'Campion' television series, adapted from Margery Allingham's mystery stories.

Did anyone other than me think of these two fellows (along with really being reminded again of how similar Matt Smith's Doctor is to Patrick Troughton's Doctor) while watching last night?

I have not really been keeping up with the rumours, etc., surrounding the new 'Star Trek' movie, but based only on pictures I have seen of Alice Eve in character I thought she resembled/was playing a new version of Sally Kellerman's character from 'Where No Man Has Gone Before'. Shows what I know.

When I first saw the original commercial I thought/assumed she had made a racy vid for him, but the more they rerun it the more convinced I am that she has recorded a 'Dear John' message for him, letting him know she is leaving, etc.

I do not regularly watch Clone Wars*, but I tuned into this episode because it was supposed to be, in some way, inspired by Moebius. But I did not see anything that I thought was directly 'Moebius-like' or 'Moebius-inspired'. Keeping in mind that I am somewhat thick/slow, what was it that I missed or that went right

In addition to 'Psychopass', and sticking with a cyberpunk theme, you might possibly be interested in any version or sidestory from the 'Bubblegum Crisis' universe, 'Mardock Scramble', or any of the 'Appleseed' adaptations.

Only slightly related - plus I am certain this has been posted before - but if anyone is a Noel Clarke fan and missed it here is a short pulp/sf mash up with Mr. Clarke called "Reign of Death".

Though not my first choice, I am somewhat surprised no one has listed Clive Barker's 'Pinhead' yet.

(Without having seen the book/based only on the content of CJA's article*) My first reaction is that the book reminds me of my old Terran Trade Authority and Dalek Annuals.

It has not been mentioned yet, and is admittedly not a good movie, but among my "I can shut my brain off" go to movies that might fit this is 'The Chronicles of Riddick'. Honestly I just enjoy the visuals simply because they remind me of paperback SF covers from the 70's and 80's.

I am not sure if this question will make any sense, but how is Jose Baez (or any member of the defense team) able to talk about anything related to this case or involving his client? Is not everything covered by Attorney-Client Privilege?

Wait. The UK version of 'Mankind' is being narrated by Stephen Fry and we get ... Josh Brolin?!?

For anyone who is interested in Neil Gaiman, missed it the first time around, and has access, C-Span2 is rerunning the 'Fall for the Book Mason Award Presentation and Lecture' featuring Mr. Gaiman that they showed this past Saturday. The rerun is scheduled for this coming Saturday, November 3rd at 9am ET. (Also Mr.
