Based on the ten-part 'Exorcist' tv series currently in development I would argue that no, we have not learned.

If I properly remember the show, I could see the docu-drama being used as a set-up/backdrop for a J.G. Ballard-type inspired story.

Has not that JP4 rumour been floating around for quite a while - something involving a John Sayles script featuring a genetically altered pack of smart 'commando' dinosaurs with weapons, armour, etc., created by a government?

Nah, Firefly was closer. As an example look how easily - with just a couple of tweaks, really - Serenity could be made into an episode of B7.

Would there be any use in filming him, along with other runners, using a very high speed camera then comparing their strides or gaits*?

Just got back from the doctor (I wanted to double check with him before I responded because it made no sense to me that he has been receiving treatments for something they are just now studying/testing) but, yes, he has been getting two to four injections of Botox every month to lessen his tremors. Also, as was

Not that this is the same but the clip reminded me of that Synchro-Vox technique that was used to superimpose real actors' mouths (I think to save money) in the old 'Clutch Cargo' and 'Space Angel' cartoons.

While the character is not quite an A lister* (outside of my little world) I am hopeful the upcoming 'Dredd' movie does well and, if perceived a success, curious how it will affect both the comic book based movie trend and the bankrolling of "low budget" (only 45 million!) movies.

I am confused - hasn't this been a standard treatment to relax muscles/control tremors for years? My father has been receiving Botox injections as part of his regular care for at least eight years* to control his tremors.

CORRECTION, adding a not, because I was not able to edit my post -

Honestly, to me the trailer just makes it out to be an updated version of the Gregory Hines movie 'Eve of Destruction' (hopefully I am wrong - I usually am - plus my 'meh' reaction to the trailer will stop me from watching the movie when it comes out).

For whatever reason if this gets produced I can see it being this generations' 'Lexx' (though I can not for the life of me figure out why this comparison comes to mind, as neither the comic strip nor the movie resembles 'Lexx' in any way).

Though this trailer does not really excite me - not that it is fair to judge based on this short trailer, but Dredd's dialogue seems off to me - I am really looking forward to this movie.

@InFluEnza you might want to check out H. Beam Piper's 'Paratime' stories (some, such as 'Police Operation'. are available for free at Project Gutenberg), maybe Keith Laumer's 'Worlds of the Imperium', or if you are looking for something more recent, possibly 'Cowboy Angels' by Paul McAuley (which is sitting on my

Just to add that if anyone is missing some 60's/70's UK telefantasy like 'The Avengers', 'Adam Adamant', etc., I would recommend they pick up 'The Man From the Diogenes Club' by Kim Newman. The collection recounts the adventures of most valuable member Richard Jeperson and Vanessa (no known last name), agents for the

Off the top of my head - and if you can track them down - the 'Chill' series by Jory Sherman (think 'Kolchak' crossed with Gold Key's 'The Occult Files of Doctor Spektor'), the "Black Oak' series by Charles Grant (private investigations into horror/X-files territory), and George Chesbro's 'Mongo' series (great reads).

Possibly Greg Rucka's series about bodyguard Atticus Kodiak and friends - especially if you start with later books like 'Smoker' or 'Critical Space', though you would miss out on both enjoyable writing and good character development/interaction by skipping earlier books.

Mike Resnick's 'Santiago: A Myth of the Far Future', along with his 'Widowmaker' series, would be good reads for anyone looking for something to take the edge off needing a 'Firefly' fix. Now that I think about it, if you include his 'Velvet Comet' and 'Oracle' series, plus his 'Birthright: Book of Man', you can also
