We are all Martians.

Pop quiz - who is the tied up actor wearing the bat-cowl in this PSA?

Any chance whenever you open one up that you can let us know the results, taste-wise? I gave it a try using the first method, also using Beam, just tasted some and (putting it politely) it was not good. I am assuming/hoping I have done something wrong. Thanks.

They really remind me of suits from old (but really well made) Soviet films like 'Planeta Bur'.

In addition to the other examples folks have posted, there were other earlier depictions of virtual reality, such as 1985's 'Overdrawn at the Memory Bank' (based on a story from John Varley), with Raul Julia.

Epic last stand # 11 - Kerr Avon surrounded by the Federation.

Kirk Douglas as (and in) 'Mousy' would like to disagree about being both mousy and terrifying at the same time ...

I spent the last few days having to use one of those Melita plastic cone filter set-ups and was very surprised how good the coffee was. Is it worth picking up a higher quality 'real' (ceramic?) pour over set-up?

I do not know what the etiquette is about linking/referencing other Gawker site articles, but here is a related post - [lifehacker.com] - if anyone is interested.

If it is the same 'XIII' it is a spy-fi series airing in Canada based on the bd series created by Jean Van Hamme and William Vance - think Ludlum's 'Bourne Identity'. Here is a Wiki link [en.wikipedia.org]:_The_Series to 'XIII The Series'.

For whatever reason the link (or links) to the article are not working (probably just for me) but here is a link to some coverage from the North Carolina paper The Charlotte Observer -

Along with Harrison Ford I really hope that Edward James Olmos is in the cast (and if I had to make a choice I think I would rather see Mr. Olmos than Mr. Ford).

I only just started playing catch up with a year-plus backlog of comics, so I am not up on the current backstories of the players in the new DCU, but possibly Cyborg. Another interesting choice, character wise, might be one-half of Firestorm.

I am in North Carolina and, until recently, worked night shift in a place where it was normal for the summertime temperature in the buildings to pass the hundred degree mark. I found simply layering my clothing (wearing a couple of shirts, even under a lab coat) helped keep me cooler than just a t-shirt alone.

For anyone complaining about not needing to shave/wanting to grow a beard, possible good news (or really bad news, depending on how you look at it).

Nothing to do with the spoilers here but - insert any swear words you normally utter when surprised in capitol letters here - I just read elsewhere that a ten part remake/re-adaption of 'The Exorcist' is being shopped around to the networks.

Have only read the first volume - and so far no zombies or other creatures - but if you enjoy this (and have access to BD's) you might like 'Seuls', a bande dessinee series about a group of kids who wake to find their parents, along with everyone else, missing and have to find ways to survive in the abandoned city.
