Wait, does this mean that they can’t go into production for 2 years, or that a new production can’t air for 2 years. There’s a difference there...

Sounds like the ending of Ellis’ Planetary series with the deal The Four made with the Darkseid analogue.
Yeah, I’d forgotten all about that title. Also reminds me of Straczynski’s Supreme Power version of Hyperion...
Came here to suggest this! This would be an easy fix - just eliminate the negative racial stereotypes and treat the culture with respect - this could be amazing!
No love for classic K-Swiss?

Not surprised. I just hope that all these shows make the transition to the Disney service and that they keep the cast, crew and storylines intack. Maybe change up the showrunners but please keep the established momentum, characters, mood, tone etc intack!
Must admit, although I realize Foaly is a centaur, I always imagined him with a horse’s head, sort of BoJack Horseman-like. It read funnier that way...
So long as he has some dignity and autonomy as described in the novels, it should be ok...
I didn’t care much for the animation but I did enjoy the story.
Thanks for your response. I will definitely give the newer books a go. Yes, I’ve read the Percy/Kane crossovers and loved them. I was hoping Riordan would return to those tales as well as it seemed he was building toward something bigger that would eventually have the children of the varied pantheons teaming up.
I’m a big fan of the earlier series, but I haven’t yet read the Magnus Chase series nor the Apollo series. Are they as engaging? Do we get to see any of the Kane Chronicles characters again?
M. Night isn’t very subtle - my guess is that since Sarah Paulson’s character is named Staple she or someone related to her probably has some latent abilities that may nullify or mute abilities in other powered beings.
We’ve got a front loader, but I like the idea.
The London Playhouse Theatre version is pretty damn good too!
My wife and I had two successful home births - both with an experienced midwife and doula assisting. We had extensive prenatal care and were prepared to go to a nearby hospital if necessary. While we were happy with our experience and support home/natural birth plans, we still consider ourselves to be extremely lucky…
So, was his role as Johnny in Sing an audition for the Elton biopic?
Exactly!
Or maybe Hell/Hades/Hel was the inspiration for the Morlocks (Wells) who were the inspiration for the Morlocks (Marvel) who were the inspiration for the Sewer City Mutants (Futurama)? Let’s keep this train going!
I was hoping for this review to include some comment from Phil - former chief accountant at Gawker about how the fallout of that whole thing that happened lead him on a path of Darkness. Or at least some joke about Dominic Burgess going to the Bad Place now. He must got tired of positive thinking in after all the…
This is an interesting take on the series. I haven’t watched yet, so I’m looking forward to it. I too don’t believe that the writers/directors may have intended to evoke racialized imagery in the narrative, however, it isn’t surprising that the imagery could spur such an interpretation. It is unfortunate that many of…
