This is why people need to either learn where they are going - or suck it up and double back around. This is the number cause of 'near accidents' I see out there. People cross lanes because they missed their turn or lane. It happens on every kind of street - not just highways. People act like solid lines are just

I am familiar with electric motors - yeah torque at zero. Cept a modern engine (like the Audi twin turbo 4.0 v8 makes a lot of torque at 1250 RPM - and idles at 800 rpm. That means you are only low in torque for a 450 rpm.

Camaro absolutely IS a track car. It's a turnkey track car if you get a Z/28. They are excellent on the track and I see several race modified Camaro's down at the local tuner shop. I don't know what universe you live in but you couldn't be more wrong.

It's not the same argument at all. You are in denial. Study after study shows that speed limits do not effect how people drive. They drive at a speed they THINK is safe - unless their is heavy handed enforcement.

It's not close to being the best car at all. Lots of cars are better. Basically an electric car is like driving around with 6 gallons of gas - that will take hours to refuel at certain locations or 8 hours at 120v plus.

Does it really matter when most of the traffic is cabbies who do whatever the hell they want at anytime anywhere with absolutely no enforcement from the NYPD?

You remind me of that dude that hung around autoblog and constantly posted how such and such performance car didn't compare to a RAV4 with a V6. Some cars are available with 'too much engine' nowadays.

VW gets us fine - its writers that don't understand the car business. VW forecasts how many they can sell. They then forecast how much it costs to bring the car over (unless they are doing it for Halo status - and then they take a bath).

Might compete 'performance' wise. But that's about it. Ferrari looks great - the 458 is unbelievably good looking. It sounds great - I mean wow.. It's really an incredible sound. And it drives great - not in a 'its super fast around a track like a GT-R" kind of way but with a better then Porsche man/machine fusion

Audi's are not underpowered. The 211 or 220 you get in a base model is like the stoutest 200hp ever. C and D tested an A4 with the 8 speed and it did a 5.6 0-60 and a 14.4 quarter..

Good post. I mean I like the i8 but this review is ridiculous.

Hyundai is just as good looking as the current z...

Does Jeep have any choice here? They have to meet government regulations - and that means they have to switch to test beating designs..like turbos..and small displacement engines. Never mind that for most drivers turbos don't save much MPG - they do well in testing.

KEI cars are the quintessential Japanese cars when the Japanese make those Sequoia monsters and other huge SUVs they are only guessing at what Americans like.. KEI cars are what they are best at making - and they are innovative and use space incredibly well. They work very well in the incredibly congested urban areas

There is no anti-pocket conspiracy. They don't put pockets on women's clothing because of looks. Clothes look sleeker and slimmer without pockets. Women in turn buy the clothing without pockets. A great example is workout shorts.

Do not worry about self driving cars. They won't have to make self-driven cars illegal. People will willingly give them up.

ICE engines are not super efficient - sure. But they heat the cabin just by using waste heat - so the range is not really effected. BTW - number is higher then 15% for car engines - not sure where you got that 'at best' number from.

Sorry Manhattan people - driving anywhere in that city absolutely stinks. NYers think they are the best at everything - but driving wise the city sucks. LA which has lots of traffic too is actually a good area to own a car in..

Does Nissan even make a manual transmission to put in one of these? I guess the GT-R automated manual would work okay..but its too expensive. That means CVT.

Meh. Electric cars are bad for snow. The 'waste' heat of an ICE is very useful for heating your cabin without effecting the range - and the ability to refuel quickly to get up the mountain is fantastic.
