Actually, I really dig Silver Sable. Her solo book was bland (though I've always had a soft spot for Steven Butler's artwork), but her appearances in the main Spider-Man book(s) are always fun.

If any of the shows were to get scrapped, I'd rather it be Luke Cage. He could still pop up in Jessica Jones (love interest) and in a retooled Iron Fist/Heroes for Hire (buddy).

Hey, I read the Priest run too! It was…interesting, but also definitely a drop in quality compared to Kelly's run. Which is weird, based on Quantum & Woody I would've assumed Priest and Deadpool would be like fist and glove. But Marvel saddling the book with a shitty artist didn't do it any favors either.

Nah, Deadpool is more of a weird mash-up outlier who became huge in the 00s, whereas Cable pretty much exemplifies the worst superhero trends of the 90s: enormous guns, a zillion belts and pouches, convoluted backstory, bionic arm, bionic eye, introduced as a mysterious badass (from the future!), all attitude and

Stephen Lang, despite being an old man, has a weird baby-face.

Oh, if this is true, I really like it. Would definitely get me more stoked for X-Force too. Michael Shannon is deliciously weird, even in pretty straight-forward roles, and I think he could do some interesting stuff with 'mutant commando cult leader from the future'.

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind is a personal favorite of mine, and Chuck Barris seemed like a cool guy, a real Renaissance Man. I hope he's pitching game shows and taking out KGB agents in a better place now.

Agreed. Between Big Change and Spider-Man - Hooky, Bernie Wrightson is responsible for two of the first comics that utterly terrified me as a child. Nobody drew a mass of living flesh with countless mouths and eyes quite like Wrightson did…

Maybe DC will give us a Ryan Choi Atom?

Growing up as a nerdy white kid in Amsterdam, my favorite X-Man was Bishop. My black best friend with whom I bonded over Jim Lee era superhero comics liked Gambit better.

…this is satire, right?

Or a really great song by Eurythmics for the 1984 soundtrack.

No, I came here looking to see if other people (or, God forbid, the actual reviewer) had noticed that too.

Agreed! They renamed his title Soldier-X for a while, I guess that's sort of an improvement…?

Good. Maybe now he will shut up about how much he wants/needs/deserves to play Cable.

What did that Magic Eight-Ball of yours say about President Trump winning the election?

And now your momentary typo will live forever. Ain't the internet grand?

I think Chris Walden is currently busy shooting a movie with Señor Spielbergo.

Or maybe there are people who are pro gay rights and pro Trump? It's been known to happen…

This already exists. It's called Madam Secretary.
