Are they even explicit about the character’s ethnicity in the show? I know the guy who did the English dub for Jet was a Black man, but honestly, does it matter? It seemed like in the show a lot of things about Earth were left in the past, especially since it is all chewed up in the Bebop Universe, and people cared

One thing we can be sure is that he’s not racist, because he loudly and insistently reports on all topics about black people in media that he’s not racist, and you can’t prove that he is. And he wouldn’t say that sort of stuff —again, on all topics about black people— if he actually was racist.

It must be fun for you to be this angry at diversity. You should tell this to Samuel L Jackson for playing Nick Fury or Jason Mamoa for playing Aquaman. In person to their faces.

For someone who self-admittedly can’t remember the name of a major character in Cowboy Bebop, you sure seem angry about this adaptation of Cowboy Bebop.

Why? Why do you care? It’s a made up space ship show about made up space ship people, on a made up space ship. What difference does it make if they cast actors that don’t necessarily look like the made up cartoon space ship people for the real life made up space ship people?

If the show is good, the show is good. If

I’m glad Azaria is stepping away from the character, both because it’s the right thing to do and because- as can be seen in this very comment section- it pisses off a whole lot of dipshits who I enjoy seeing impotently mad.

To anyone who is getting way too upset about this, I’m curious what your reaction is going to be once you have to start doing your own laundry, cleaning your own room and making your own meals.

Toni lives in Riverdale. If she’s looking for a non-crazy, non-damaged romantic partner, she’s gonna have to leave town. And I want her to stay on the show, so....

Toni likes the crazy ones, apparently

It’s the racism that keeps most blacks from going full on Republican. There certainly is a conservative strain among older blacks, but they know well enough to not to buy into Trumps bullshit.

Soylent Green’s Totally On Time Stray Observations: Sleepytime Sewer Rats Edition:

Wasn’t Scott, early in Trump’s administration (right around the start of Black History Month in 2017), the pastor who said Chicago “top gang thugs” (that he had spoken to earlier) wanted a meeting w/ Trump to discuss decreasing gang violence in Chicago, only to later say none of that actually happened and that he

This is how you know Trump isn’t a racist. Sure, he says racist things. Does them, too. Was sued by the feds for being racist and lost. But could a racist clumsily pander for black votes? I don’t think so.

And the last time we saw him, wasn’t he remarking how batshit crazy she is for thinking he hooked up with her sister? Now he probably thinks she’s gone nuclear in her delusions and has dreamed up a pregnancy, thereby realizing he needs to run while he can...

Because the show has never tried to convince us Hellman is anything but a monster.

Plenty of racists know and even like people of color. They just tell themselves those are the “good ones.”

This show... might just break me. Taystee. Cindy. Seeing Poussey again. Poor Tiffany.

Daya... yeah she actually just fucked over all her siblings. Is she aware of that?

I actually found McCullough getting Alex transferred was oddly fitting as while McCullough is ultimately responsible as a guard, she also expressed hesitation and doubt on multiple occasions with Alex pushing forward due to her own uncertainties and hesitations. So in many ways, while I am invested in Piper and Alex,
