More stories should end like Cabin in the Woods.

unless you believe he is just writing himself into a corner there has to have been a plan right?

This is true, although with GRRM, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the characters just get more and more splintered and everyone dies and the world ends. And written in such a way that you think they deserved it.

“I hate how there was so much humor in the early seasons of Simpsons.”

You say this in a world that contains Twilight Shippers and Bronies.

People writing about hate watching GoT is the most annoying part of GoT.

The only edginess I’m seeing is your opinion about this series. What you’re describing makes up an extremely small part of the show. One that many of us don’t care about.

So.....what are some shows that are good?

If you think nudity is shocking I’d like to know what time machine you came in on.

“Looking to be offended” is true. People, perhaps such as you, do this. Nice try brushing it off. It gives you a little excitement during your day, or its a substitute for analyzing things you don’t like, or a multitude of things really.

And its only “shock value” ... if its shocking. To me, it isn’t shocking. The

Yeah, individual characters spreading out across the map only to come together for a grand finale is kind of fantasy 101 isn’t it? I think the larger issue is that people expect traditional TV series story arcs here. This is a large elaborate story that doesn’t lend itself to clockwork 12 episode crescendos. Once

I found it more distracting that every review felt compelled to mention it when, realistically, ‘sexposition’ made up a tiny fraction of any given season’s running minutes.

I am criticizing the criticism.

“Don’t read the criticism if you know you’ll feel the need to start whining about it.”

I see it the opposite way. I thought Martin’s last book was a bloated, horrid piece of shit. The show, on the other hand, made quick work of it in one season and greatly improved the story.

the difference is i’m not wrong

Deviate from what? There’s no book for this season.

I’ve just gotten to the third book and I have to say it would be almost impossible to represent the books exactly. There is so much more information in there, not even including the deviations. There are actors you have to pay, which is why they take out unnecessary characters. But besides that it’s almost impossible

Yeah, because they were great characters in the book, and while GRRM’s writing can be tough to slog through sometimes, especially the last couple books, there was some great material in Dorne. The show could have really used some of that

game of thrones’ violence is awesome
