Musk’s companies are also all unprofitable given funny-money non-GAAP measure, Dr. Jones.

I see you haven’t been following his other vanity projects either.

This still causes pollution. It just causes it to come out of a nearby smokestack rather than a tailpipe.

Saving 6-10 minutes, not counting time waiting in a queue to enter or exit the tunnel, still doesn’t sound Earth-shattering, tbf.

Ants also make tunnels very cheaply. Because they're also small.

I wonder if it ever occurred to the author to think critically about the word of a man who has already conceded that he committed fraud.

The Democrats did introduce the Keep Families Together Act. Every Democratic Senator was a co-sponsor

Mitch McConnel weakened the consent process considerably, because it got in his way and he had the power to remove it.

It’s stupid to use it that way, though. It’s pseudonymous, not anonymous. Once someone knows which wallet is yours, all transactions are easily checked. The authorities don’t even have to subpoena your bank.

It doesn’t take technical competence to realize that bitcoin processes transactions orders of magnitude too slowly to function as a major modern currency.

Oh come on. West said this wasn’t a personal attack as cover. It was petty. And he doesn’t even seem to have a clear definition of “neoliberalism” in this context (to the best of my knowledge, no one does).

Bullshit. She campaigned on policy but that didn’t get coverage.

You’re misunderstanding the situation. It’s easier to demonize women. Hillary Clinton is a great woman. Your opinion of Elizabeth Warren would be just as negative if she got the same kind of press.

I’ll speak for myself. I said all along that men are likely enough to commit sexual violence that I could believe it of anyone. I also thought rumours increased the likelihood. However, I also thought, and still think, that journalists should follow those leads to ground and then publish. NYT did that, and Jezebel is

I don’t really know what you want here.

Every Democrat just voted for a rule to make it so the banks can be sued in class-action cases. The Republicans voted to protect the banks. Your ideology blinds you to facts.

I think the lede is weird, too. These results show a big divide among white millennials more than a big divide between (all) white millennials and people of color.

It’ll just die or maybe pass after heavy editing. I just don’t think there’s a constituency for most of its proposals, even on the right.

This isn’t journalism. Journalism would be asking people spreading rumors where they got the rumors and running them to ground. This is setting up an email account to get page visits. It’s lazy and it will yield nothing but anonymous slander.

I’m with you, and I don’t find her funny (maybe because she just feels like a knock-off Sarah Silverman, whom I love). Good for her, though. She saw that she may have underestimated her market value and re-thought her negotiating position. And I’m a little disturbed by the popular eagerness to drag a Jewish woman,
