i’m sorry to give the boring answer, but it’s the correct one. It’s cheap to buy and run, you can get it with a manual (with rev matching) in a colors that arent just grey, black and white. It will run forever and ever. It’s a cheap car you buy and don’t have to think about. Is it the most fun small car?  No but we

The Nissan Frontier is still available.

“the only thing I am 100 percent sure of is that the Volkswagen ID.4 will be a complete flop in the U.S.”......I don’t understand this. Why? It’s relatively priced, not awful to look at and certainly would attract those same ‘higher income’ purchasers that the new Nissan Rogue is inexplicably attracting. I don’t think

Volvo V60 T8 Polestar. It’s practical as hell, has enough EV range for my commute, power when I need it, Volvo seats, decent in car tech and safety. It’s perfection. The long term reliability is going to SUCK but it is what it is.

Whilst I applaud the fiscal responsibility of the person asking about values of the G70, surely considering the value of a car you dont plan to purchase for another year - 18months is just educated guesswork? 2020 has taught us that literally anything is possible.

Yeah I actually just created an account on Monday over on The Drive. I think it’s likely to be my go-to now. I’ll still pop on here for NP/ND but the slide shows, the quality of the articles, the layout changes etc - it’s all for the worse at Jalopnik. It’s a shame.

Even with $10k off, the resale value on these is so hideous i’m still not sure buying new makes any sense. You can get a used or even a CPO one for great money. I actually like the Fusion, especially in Titanium trim. If you can live with the frankly ridiculous trunk space in the hybrid/ENERGI model, they make

Sorry I don’t like it. It looks stupid and dumb. I love a smiley face on a car - a Frogeye Sprite is an awesome little car but not on a boring SUV. I hate it. I think the Bronco Sport will become the new Escape in large parts thanks to the design of the new Escape. People don’t buy an SUV because it has a smiley face.

I don’t understand. How can $30k income turn into a $250 loss?

These are all pretty decent choices other than the C30 which is just silly. Volvo is logical but a V60 makes more sense.

If I was going to drop $9.1m on ANYTHING it wouldnt be a condo there. Sure, it’ll have nice views but I’d prefer my own actual house with those same views further up the hill. Can you imagine the HOA fees. I know at this price level, monthly fees are not a concern but I’m way too cheap not to care about that stuff.

This along with the Renault Zoe show that if you price EV’s at a relatively affordable level - buyers will happily snap them up. Meanwhile Audi is wondering why nobody wants to pay $80k for an eTron. If they shoved the powertrain in a Q3 and charged $35k for it, there’d be a waiting list 2 years long.

I LOVE everything about this. THAT interior. Power. The BRICK! but at $14,000! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHH

I don’t see cruise ships going away unfortunately but I do see them becoming a lot cheaper. I hate the idea of a cruise but I have some friends who LOVE it and I was astonished at the cost of even a basic and tiny cabin, let alone one with a balcony.

The cops pretty much have free travel on transit anyway don’t they? just flash the badge and they can get through. More LAPD presence on public transit would be most welcome (though the unions would push back hard)

I predict that in 18months/2 years, Ford will be selling many more of these things than the Escape. They ruined the Escape by giving it a weird old generation Mazda face and it looks smaller, even if it actually isn’t. The Bronco Sport should really have been the new Escape.

90% for the Explorer! there’s a clear theme to ‘winning’ the NP/ND game. $2,000 is the limit. It has to be a truck or SUV. It has to have limited rust and still run. <200k miles. If you check all those boxes, it’s a GUARANTEED NP win.

So, I live literally just around the corner from LAPD HQ in DTLA and I see these things flitting about ALL the time. They must still have some on leases as I saw one yesterday (LAPD inside but no decals on the outside - unless one of them bought one personally) I don’t really understand what LAPD is using them for?

TBH I think the MG electric car being 2nd in the EV sales is more interesting. Tesla doesn’t even seen to feature? I seem to recall a few scathing articles about Tesla reliability in Norway and waiting aaaaaages for parts/replacements so perhaps Tesla’s quality control has finally caught up with them in this EV-loving

My mother had an ‘83 Euro spec XR3i (although hers was in 80's white obvs) and as a pre-teen I thought it was such a cool looking car at the time. However, I do remember many, MANY trips to the dealer with it and a couple of breakdowns....she usually liked to keep cars for a long time but that one got swapped out
