I continue to not understand Caddy’s strategy (is there one?) whilst these prototypes sound great and I love that they exist - absolutely no-one is going to buy them. Luxury Sports Sedans are sadly undesirable to the current market. The people these should appeal to - don’t want a Cadillac. They would be *far* better

I hate literally everything about this. Bloated, slow and hideous. Just like KISS today I guess? Absolutely not. ND.

I have a soft spot for little Suzuki’s. I learnt to drive in the hills of Wales in a white, drop top Samurai with a ‘red’ stripe down the side that had faded pink. It was a ridiculously camp vehicle to drive in a fairly conservative area but I loved it. It was bad to drive on anything but a slightly damp field with a

This is a Subaru Forester ask. Yes it’s missing the personality and yes the CVT is....well a CVT. But take care of it and it’ll take care of you. It’s roomy, mostly reliable and looks outdoorsy. Your budget could get you an XT if you cant find one.

Wait. What. Sorry i’m stuck on this comment “My 3-year lease is up in January. In a normal world, I would just get a new 3-year lease of the same model vehicle.”

These are all lofty aspirations. The answer, as so often in life, is two cars. I speak as someone who lives in DTLA and (used to) commute to the west side when commuting was a thing. Trust me, a manual will SUUUUUCK unless you end up living relatively close to whatever your new job is (which never seems to happen in

Re: Mazda hatch, why is it $1k more expensive? I’ve never really understood why hatches are more expensive than sedans?

Get rid of them all and buy a beige (champagne gold) Camry. That’s what the HOA ultimately want us all to do right?

I imagine this have an impact on sedan values more than anything. We know buyers have moved away from sedans in general and the Hertz fleet is stuffed with base spec Optima’s, Fusion’s, Altima’s and Malibu’s - which are all fine. They’re just meh. If you want a bog standard, fairly reliable commuter (avoid the Altima)

This to me is a great uber alternative if you’re just sick of driving a Prius.

I’ve always had a penchant for tiny fast(ish) european hatchbacks but does the Abarth have the same seating position as the standard 500? I’ve driven a rented one in actual Italy and whilst I’m not a giant at 6ft2 I did feel like I was sitting ON the car rather than IN it. This one looks to have some decent sports

if you could give it something with power or hell even an EV conversion this is a fun, if incredibly stupid little car. I like it.

Oh. Cool and all but uhm, no. No thanks.

This is going to be interesting. It *used* to be that the only time I got to drive one of these econo-shitboxes was when I rocked up to Hertz only to find they had run out of econo-shitboxes in large size so had to make do with a smaller one. I never got mad about a Corolla or an Elantra. They were fine for what I

Wouldnt it be simpler to just make them...bigger? Like in Europe? would be easier for the manufacturers too.

No thanks. I’m busy. Uhm. washing my hair or something. *slams door*

240 bhp in a little CUV that’s a tad bigger than a shoe sounds like a lot! I know they’ll be much heavier but still. I hope a PHEV option is introduced at launch for the next gen Cherokee and Grand Cherokee. Jeep should cash in on the ridiculous demand for PHEV SUVs (see waitlist & price gouging for the RAV4 Prime)

The Fusion Hybrid in Titanium spec is/was my go-to car when renting regularly through Hertz. Unfortunately it looks like they’ve got rid of most of them from their fleet now *sadface*

Wait. I’m sure I’ve been reading *everywhere* that a hybrid and possibly a PHEV is coming for the Bronco? Since we know they’re working on it for the F150 it seems like a given no?

We must never underestimate GM’s ability to take something great, something with unique value and then either completely ruin it or fail to actually market it. It will be interesting to see how they manage the roll out of the new ‘Vette.
