It’s really, really simple (except as usual, it isnt) But Toyota needs to put the RAV4 Prime powertrain in the Camry and Avalon. A ridiculously reliable Camry which can easily do 50mpg AND 0-60 in around 5 seconds? for lets say $34k? - Suddenly it becomes less of an appliance and actual contender for a decent sports

I actually really like the style of it, it looks great! but absolutely no way does it look $63k great. Outrageous money.

The bigger question is how will Nissan mess this up? They truly are the GM of the Asian brands.

I’ve owned two of these! Both were completely eaten by rust (as is the usual Ford way) but I enjoyed owning them. I had a 1999 KA3 which was proper ‘luxury’ when I was college student with A/C and electric windows. I later bought a $500 (equivalent) 2003 KA ‘Collection’ which was much newer and with fancy body

I like the Fit/Jazz and like so many people from the UK - ‘My mother owns/owned one’. It’s a good 2nd or 3rd car but for me, personally, I’ve never found a comfortable position in it. Either driving or as a passenger. I get that it’s a personal taste but it just doesn’t feel like a decent roadtrip car - because it

To me, the pricing is a bit off. I know that’s a classic Jalopnik line, but seriously. If the GTI is going to be circa $30k OTD and an Elantra GT N-Line is $24k, then the 3 Turbo should really be in the middle. At $27k it makes sense but at 30k plus, it gets more difficult to justify.

I’mma stick to my usual line - LOVE the car. HATE the price. I know these things command a premium in the PNW but c’mon. This needs to be 4 figures not 5.

The answer is obvious. The vehicle most in need of 600hp.

I get that it’s cool and fun and I’m super happy that in these challenging financial times, Dodge is still here bring us this insanity. But really the market for these must be pretty small right?

As usual, GM builds a good car and then markets/packages it terribly and then is all upset when the car doesn’t sell. The CT4 will be no exception. It still doesn’t come with super cruise as standard - not until 2021? why? The 330i is well priced (for leases) and not that much smaller in size, certainly not enough to

I can think of literally 17,000 other things I would prefer to spend $17,000 and an additional $5-6000 of maintenance per year on. But thanks anyway. It’s a ‘dont call us, we’ll call you’ thing. NEXT.

What about the ‘luxury’ market though? BMW? Merc? Volvo?

RIP. Let’s remember those words. REST. IN. PEACE. As in, throw out any notions you clearly have of rescuing this POStal. Let it go in peace. It’s lived a long and mostly happy life. It will feel no pain now. RIP.

This is the best case i’ve ever heard for the Honda Fit surely? Small and easy to park in Brooklyn, is capable of east coast roadtrips (as long as it’s not super far, the Fit is comfy but certainly not my first choice for a cross country jaunt) it’s cheap, cheerful, reliable and ridiculously spacious for the dog. JOB.

I’d prefer the V60 version, I’d also prefer a model with their great adaptive cruise (even pre-pilot assist was pretty good) and i’d definitely prefer a CPO one as the Volvo CPO is one of the best in the biz. I’m a huge Volvo fan but with the lien and so-so spec. CP.

meh

But the small pickup market is only cornered by the Taco and Frontier *because* they’re the only ones in the space. The GM twins and the Ranger are now basically proper sized and the pricing is all screwed up. A Ranger should be significantly cheaper but since the difference is only a few thousand bucks, everyone

I don’t understand why other markets get such awesome looking trucks when the US very clearly has a huge and insatiable appetite for Trucks. Instead we get an old and far too big Ford Ranger and the awful Chevy designed crap. IT’S NOT FAIR!

Toyota will soon have the Venza to compete in this space. For some reason.

100% agree. We tested a Lexus RX last year and the dealership experience was wonderful. The interior is what pushed us away from the brand unfortunately. Comfy seats but we went with Volvo because despite the common complaints, I much prefer the simpler infotainment system. To each their own. I would love to pick up a
